How can one know whether this person is a male or female? The article currently says "female", but the line from MARGOT has nothing to back this up. I could remove it and replace it with just "unknown", but I'd like to hear some opinions first. --ReillyWynnePopov (talk) 19:12, 13 May 2022 (UTC)

Are we taking use of names into account as stated in the page history? Great Mara (talk) 19:19, 13 May 2022 (UTC)
I would think so, yes. In general, we shouldn't assume that this context doesn't exist just because we, as users of English, don't see the context. For example, I'm Polish, and if I see Dąbrowska, I will assume the person either is a woman or identifies as one, because that's the feminine declension; similarly, Dąbrowski would be a man or someone who identifies as a man. None of this is apparent to someone who doesn't speak Polish and grasp its terrifying grammar. I'll add the comment from the edit history as a reference, since you're right, such an explanation is needed. Тагазиэль 21:38, 13 May 2022 (UTC)
