Nuka Cola Quantum location[]

Created a brand-new character in an attempt to locate the vending machine and/or bottle. Description says, "...south wall in the main lobby," I found a vending machine on the NORTH wall but its contents were random/leveled. Please provide an image if I am mistaken. Layout Description[]

The location layout that is given is confusing. The parking garage maze is a separate location from the Roxbury station itself. If anything, it should be affiliated with Fallon's Department Store because of its' roof access to the store. Since the garage maze does not have a fast travel point, it should be considered a secondary location and reflect that within the description for Fallon's.

Thank you. I thought I was going mad trying to find the Parking Garage entrance and Hot Rodder inside the actual Station. Also, the Station contained Super Mutants for me instead of Feral Ghouls and Radroaches (well, there was one dead Radroach) I'm pretty sure this is for all as there were the meatbags setup. --Pyoobez (talk) 08:24, January 6, 2016 (UTC)

Inaccessible Area[]

On the north end, in between the two movable train cars, there seems to be an area that is inaccessible by normal means. This area has a number of interactive items, including two beds, three meat bags with loot, a locked safe with loot, an explosive barrel, and two radioactive barrels, all of which can be interacted with normally. (I of course used TCL on PC to confirm this). This is separate from the inaccessible area mentioned on this page (as of Feb. 14, 2016), as the wikia states "One of the carriages of the second train contains loot", which is referring to the briefcases inside the second (east) car.

The reason that I think this area is inaccessible is because there doesn't seem to be any combination of train positions that allow access. This area is one section north of the northern-most accessible section between the cars, which can be reached by moving the first (west) car into the northern-most position (there is a large yellow machine on the north wall of this area). I was able to get both of the cars into the north position by having a companion press the button that moves the second (east) car to the north position (the switch closest to the Tumblers Today), and moving through the second car before the switch was pressed (moving from the east side of the second car to between the cars). I was then able to access the open doors of both trains while they were in the north position, but this led nowhere (there is grating on both sides and ends of the tunnel, as well as the east side of the second car).

I also tried to move the second train to the far south position, then move through the first train in the far north position, hoping that the second train would be far enough south to allow me to get onto the tracks on the north side of the second train, but the train is too long even for this. Without a companion, this technique requires completing the puzzle and going through the chained door, then coming back down to the beginning of the train puzzle, but can be done normally. I believe that this may have been the designer's original intention, as it can be done by normal means (without using a companion and timing), and being on the tracks on either side of either train doesn't seem to allow the player to get out of bounds (there is debris blocking both ends of either tunnel). This inaccessible area could have been the final prize in this area, as it requires completion of the puzzle then returning to the beginning (completing the puzzle leaves the east train in the south position). If the second train were shorter on the north side, one could get onto the tracks and access this section easily.

As a side note, I was able to get onto the tracks on the south side of the first train by completing the puzzle and unlocking the chained door, then moving the first car to the northern-most position, then doubling back through the previously chained door area. However, there is nothing there, not even a single tin can to collect. There is also a second pair of open doors on the first train, on the northern-most end. However, even in the southern-most position, these doors are farther north than any other feature of the station, besides the empty tunnels.

It's actually possible to get on top of the cars by jumping on a windowsill, then jumping again. You can then run along the perimeter of the cars' roofs to get past some of the grates and end up in the area you describe. Care has to be taken at the locomotive end that one does not fall through the broken windshield and end up trapped. It's all very hair's-breadth tolerances and there's quite a bit of sticking and jumping and so on, especially when jumping down into that area, which pipes almost prevent you from doing. Once there, there's no way back out and you either have to reload or tcl your way back out. I don't imagine it's intended that this be done, considering how dumbed-down almost all other puzzles are in the game. I think I was just more determined to get in than the level designer was to keep me out. I'm going to assume the puzzle was originally more complex, as you suggested, and was dumbed down to be more accessible to people who are ... uh ... well, let's just say it's more accessible. :P --Aiken Drum (talk) 12:05, February 23, 2016 (UTC)

Fusion Core[]

The location of the fusion core described under the loot section actually appears to be a random ammo spawn (I got a box of .45 cartriges.) Phibbus (talk) 05:01, January 29, 2017 (UTC)
