Talk:Van Buren
From The Vault
If Harold is originating from V 29, he shouldn't get there because of random wandering. He should be accquainted with specific culutre there and should know about godess Diana. So rather Vault 31 is Twin Mothers home. dotz
- He is from Vault 29 and Twin Mothers is Vault 29. I got a more detailed explanation from John Deiley and will post it here soon. And he knows Diana from the old times, even if his memory isn't as good as it used to be (which is why he got to V29 by random wandering). Ausir 20:34, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
Ugh. I am getting sick and tired of reading about Van Buren. Mainly because of the fact that it'll never be. *cries* As for Harold, yes, he is V29 material. Paladin Oor-Tael 17:58, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
So this will never come out? it sounds like they were almost done. (Kell)
Who knows? Maybe Bethesda will use this material for a FO4, and maybe Interplay will someday make a comeback. It would be interesting to see a finished product. (That guy)
Why doesn't NMA use the tech demo to make the game?
[edit] ROFL
I just find it SO funny that they spent all this time trying to make a game, only to become bankrupt and sell the game's rights to Bethesda. Sucks to be them. But seriously, everything they were gonna put into the game was so stupid. I'm glad Fallout 3 became what it is right now, because if this was it then it would suck so bad FawkesGamer360 20:41, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

- I would agree with him if he didn't phrase it so badly. Never tried it though, so I can't say, but all I know is that Fallout 3 is one of my favorite games. --24.72.49.251 22:45, November 6, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Thank God
I'm glad they never made this game. I got really sick and tired of the other fallout games. I just can't stand 2-diminutional games with no epic action scenes. I would say they drove me insane, but honestly all they did was make me fall asleep. Fallout 3 is everything I had dreamed of. I've gotten real attached to it. Good graphics, better acting, cool missions, incredible weapons. I'm not a hater of the original games, I just thought they could have been better. The last thing we needed was another cheap game like Van Buren. I heard they actually made this game. They were selling it at Wal-Mart for five dollars. I walked right up to the cashier with a copy of it, threw it at his face and said "You should be ashamed of yourself!" flipped him off, and walked away.--206.75.130.250 16:59, October 12, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Meh...
To tell you the truth, I am a little glad that Van Buren was never made. Don't get me wrong, I loved Fallout 1, and 2, but it seemed like they were starting to run out of ideas after Fallout 2. Plus the idea of there actually being an organized justice system and a halfway decent prison for the main character to go to is a little far-fetched. And another thing, the idea of you being able to choose if he was a convict or a wrongly accused man is a little bogus in my opinion. If it's fallout, you shouldn't have to choose karmic guidelines for yourself, it seems highly out of character for black isle. 99.155.37.54 03:12, October 28, 2009 (UTC)
- Christ. I assume you think Fallout 3 is more creative than Van Buren. If this is the case, then your are intellectual detritus. Please jump off a bridge.
