Hidden Quest[]

Created the article best as I can. I noticed we have only one other unmarked Quest listed and its format is different than mine. However this one is based off of Fallout 3 quests. I haven't worked closely on this wiki yet and I don't know for sure if I should update the second one. Cheers. KermEd 21:55, October 23, 2010 (UTC)

Looks good! Keep up the good work. :) - The Capulet 02:27, October 24, 2010 (UTC)

Recurring quest? PC bug?[]

Ever since I completed the quest the nightkin respawns. I can come here and farm miniguns quit easily, and it's highly profitable. One AP .50MG bullet, which is my total expenditure for each time I kill the nightkin. costs ~17 caps, I only need 5 or 6 miniguns to get one to full condition, and that sells for 2400 or so. Pure profit. Anyone else get this?

14px-Icon_pc.png On my current character, the nightkin spawns at the trailer just north of Highway 95 Viper's Encampment rather than at the corral. I can crouch behind the nightkin and shoot at the vipers and they shoot back and hit the nightkin, who kills them and takes enough damage that it is one shot with a Sniper rifle. If I kill the nightkin when it respawns on my game, I can go claim the 75 cap reward from Dusty again in addition to getting an unlimited supply of miniguns.

Bug fix and possible reason for the bug.[]

Can anyone confirm if the bug where he just stands there is really fixable? Someone wrote that going back he will respawn at a later date and you can kill him again. Also I wanted to add that when I tried doing this quest there was a caravan nearby with a doctor and a couple followers. Could this be a possible culprit as far as why he doesn't become hostile, the game wants to prevent attacks on him by the doctor and followers?--65.27.167.139 22:37, November 5, 2010 (UTC)

Small camp[]

The Nightkin Master sometimes can also be found NW of Novac, at a small camp site behind the radio tower, with minor loot (First aid box + 3 crates with misc loot) and a campfire. As far as I know, it is the closest campfire to Novac.

He knows, you know.[]

Added to the notes section.

Hiding behind the Nightkin and listening to him ramble reveals some interesting things. --FourWayDiablo 18:58, June 4, 2011 (UTC)

"Head voices say someone added companion names to notes section, and spoiled Nightkin guessing game!" :-D jk --FourWayDiablo 17:25, June 14, 2011 (UTC)

Novac Settler Sleeping With The Nightkin[]

So, the nightkin wasn't showing up, I went to where he hangs out behind the rock at 2:30Am and there was a Novac Settler Sleeping there! Bug??

Weird bug[]

I seem to have previously killed the Nightkin (a Nightkin Master already) with a plasma weapon and all that remains now is a goo pile. This goo pile could, oddly enough, be pickpocketed while sneaking and it has the Nightkin's inventory. The goo pile could catch the player picpocketing, too.

I noticed this with other NPC's. I turned a Legion assassin into goo at Cassidy Caravans Wreckage. Now when I kill them anywhere in that cell, I can pick up their inventory from the goo pile at my feet. I think this might be why lots of goo piles can cause lag, several piles might all be a reference to one NPC and it is taking up lots of memory. GRPeng 02:29, October 20, 2011 (UTC)
