Maybe it's just me, but it seems like the Sawed-off is mostly worthless when compared to the Combat Shotgun. To even things out, couldn't it have a higher damage rating or something than its combat cousin?

Yeah performance wise it is pretty lame compared to the combat shotgun, but it makes up for it by being so damn stylish! - anon

It should have had ~+5-8 more damage compared to the combat shotgun to make sense. My opinion.

Critical Damage Edit

I did a little test with this, and here are a few of my results: Test Parameters: On PC, fully repaired Sawed-off. Targets One, deactivated (Robotics Expert) full health Sentry bot. Test A: Point blank, center mass shot, standing up. 8 shots to kill. Crippled torso on 5th shot. Preformed 4 times, same results each time. Test B: Point blank, center mass shot, crouched (stealthed). 4 Shots to kill. Torso never crippled. Preformed 4 times, same results each time. The weapon cannot critical hit outside of Sneak Attack critical hits, where they do the standard 2x damage. ZanderArch 02:20, 19 June 2009 (UTC)

Fallout 3 AP Error Edit

Okay, something has to be wrong with the AP cost associated with the sawed-off shotgun. My character has 79 AP, and the article for the gun says that it requires 37 AP to make a shot in VATS, yet I can only make ONE VATS shot with it instead of two, despite the fact that I have five more points than is required to make two shots.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Blutteufel (talkcontribs). Damn, those designers really need to learn how to count.Blutteufel 17:36, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

Princessess sidearm Edit

ever notice how if you compare a regular sawed off to princesses shotgun, its like a fraction of the size. guess they must have screwed that one up too, lol

Well, children are smaller than adults, so there weapons have to be down-scaled to make them small enough so it doesn't look like they should be falling over from such a small weapon.--With care and happiness, 'Cut Off You Nose To Spider-Face450 DO IT! 03:46, January 19, 2010 (UTC)

Useless Weapon! Edit

I agree, once in hidden mode i went up to a ghoul and used the sawwed-off shotgun and it only effected his health half way. Useless weapon lol

How about you try putting more than three points into Small Guns and don't use an almost-busted shotgun instead of pretending that it's the game's fault that your character sucks? Blutteufel 21:27, February 5, 2010 (UTC)
