possible glitch[]

does anyone else have a problem with the bench telling you you have no primers when you have a box of them? --DragonJTSLeave me a message 06:18, October 25, 2010 (UTC)

I had this problem as well, and the same thing happened with a Jar of primer I purchased from the Gun Runners. The solution I found was to get an empty container (in my case, it was in my hotel room), put the Boxes and Jars in the empty container, close it, then open it back up and Take All. When I did this, the PipBoy removed the Boxes and Jars from my inventory, and added the Primers and Powders. CapAp 05:27, October 26, 2010 (UTC)

When you buy things likes jars of powder and boxes of primers from merchents they will often stay in the box. The simple fix is to find a safe spot and drop them all in a pill. Pick them up and they will then be added to your iventory correctly -- Anon8792

as stupid as ist sounds it is no glitch. it was intendet this way. --ADM-Ntek 18:52, November 3, 2010 (UTC)

Are there any ammo recipes? I have 12.7mm cases and what-not and would like to reload them.Grand Cookie 07:26, October 28, 2010 (UTC)

The profitability section[]

I appreciate the addition of values for all the ammo types, and the addition of tables was nice. However, the profitability section needs to be fixed. Taking into account any barter skill in the equation is a useless complication (why not simply use the base value of every item?) and it only confuses readers into thinking that profit percentages are based on barter skill.

Also, why did the author assume free lead and cases? Getting something for free and then selling it naturally returns a profit (no-brainer). When calculating profit, you're supposed to calculate minimum profit, i.e. worst-case-scenario statistics, so that the reader knows that any uniqueness in his situation will only lead to greater profit. If nobody fixes this then I eventually will, once I get the tables compiled from my own playtesting. --149.169.215.198 18:44, November 3, 2010 (UTC)

'Jar, pistol powder' vs 'Pistol Powder'[]

With all other items and necessary skill level I still can't make ANY ammo. It lists the ingredient needed as 'pistol powder' but it is only ever possible to source the item 'jar, pistol powder'. IS there actually any difference in these items, and if not then WHY won't it work? Any ideas? 60.234.140.207 09:07, November 21, 2010 (UTC)

If you have any jars of pistol powder in your inventory, drop it/them and pick it/them back up to get pistol powder. --Kris User Hola 10:35, November 21, 2010 (UTC)
That is a bug that is yet to be fixed, this also applies to buying bulk ammo and cases, maybe because those items have weight while the items they contain does not, at least in non-hardcore. -- Flaktrooper November 22, 2010.

Yay[]

I think we can consider this article unstubbified ^_^ --Jackarunda 05:14, November 5, 2010 (UTC)

"*One can be purchased for the Lucky 38 Presidental Suit through the computer opposite the elevator."

I removed the above line from the article as this is untrue. You can purchase a workbench for the Lucky 38 Presidential Suite but not a reloading bench.174.0.106.101 19:58, December 28, 2010 (UTC)

Abandoned BoS Bunker[]

I moved the note about this bench to the Dead Money section, because I'm pretty sure that even if you can glitch your way into the bunker without Dead Money, then most of the stuff in there, including the bench, is not yet present.

Tabled Crafting List?[]

Is it just me, but shouldn't there be a tabled list of components and the items crafted from them on this page, like the one listed for the Campfire? 74.77.129.70 21:18, February 5, 2011 (UTC)

Not really because an ammo bench is self explanatory but the campfire makes some interesting stuff and it is good to put those things all in one place. From the desk of kevin obkirchner 01:23, February 24, 2011 (UTC)

Ya, because everyone knows what primer pins are for and what items are the source of lead. It's about ease of reference. Combing through the crafting page for things that are grouped by item type not crafting source is very inefficient when all a reader may need is a sortable list related to a specific type of crafting. The crafting page is about 15 screens long. For a reference source that's pretty unwieldy. Just Sayin' 74.77.132.100 00:42, April 20, 2011 (UTC)

AP and Hollow Point rounds[]

Under "Notes" it is incorrectly stated that you can break down other rounds and remake them into the Armor Piercing and Hollow Point variants. Removal?

Does it piss anyone else off that[]

There is no way to reload ammo in Fallout 4? I heard rumor that it's because ammo in Fallout 4 is steel-cased, whereas in New Vegas it is not. Can anyone confirm this at all? Thanks.

Steel cased ammo can be reloaded, and as usual, rumours are just that - rumours. The more likely reason is that bethesda simply didn't bother including it. As usual, modders have to (and have already) implement it, although I'm waiting till the GECK is out so ammo crafting can be further refined. --ffs (talk) 03:16, March 20, 2016 (UTC)
