::There used to be mention of the armor penetration of this gun - or rather, the lack of it. What happened to that? It's easily verifiable if you just fight a raider.

::'Not good' is a subjective statement; why not give the reasons why and let the reader judge for themselves? For 30 damage, it has 3x limb damage multiplier, 3x crit multiplier and 30 added crit damage for a potential total of 60 dam, 120 limb damage. And it's actually one of the more accurate and faster rifles in the game.

:: Cons: Lower range so it's less useful overland. Scarcer ammo. The main disadvantage is low health; it's condition will drop off quickly, and there aren't any spare rifles around for repairs, so base damage decays rapidly while it becomes more prone to jams on reload.--[[Special:Contributions/97.81.77.13|97.81.77.13]] 11:19, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

Nuclear Nelly or some ARTEMIS rail gun?--dotz 10:22, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

I tested the Railway Rifle thoroughly with high stats and appropriate perks. Why does my edit keep getting changed when the weapon is 'not' good?Cubicle Ninja 16:09, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

No kidding, this gun really kind of sucks. Low clip, slow, and apparently puny damage. It's only decent thing is the crippling, but that's marred by the fact that in weeks of playing it's the only thing that's crashed my game (PC). The only use I had for this was toying with ghouls. Although the one sneak attack on a sitting raider that ended up with his headless body on the floor and his head pinned to the wall was pretty rocking. This gun is for amusement, nothing more. 74.14.118.127 18:32, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

Regardless of method of use, this gun remains the SOLE source of crashes I've experienced in FO3 for months, now. VATS + multiple targets is more prone, free aim still does it, and so does VATS + single target. For the few days I used it, I crashed every single day. The months I never touched it, not a single crash. (PC, latest patch) --DarkJeff 17:30, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

it seems that giving this to a follower will reduce the chance of a crash, I haven't tested this long enough to confirm, but I'm currently going to monitor Clover using this gun.
