Potential Solution To Weapons Being Drawn Twice[]

1) For Windows users, Start game from Desktop.

2) Load a Save Game from before you chose Quick Draw.

3) If you accidentally loaded a Save Game where you already have Quick Draw, than quit the game to the desktop and return to Step #1.

It seems as though the Game Engine can not lower the value that is causing this issue, so loading a save game with the perk and then loading a save game without the perk during the same game session will not result in the value being lowered and thus the bug persisting even though you no longer have the perk (This also explains why console command to remove the Perk doesn't fix it either). Usefulness[]

Well, uh, as a "usefulness" factor, this game takes place in the Wild West, so to speak, so it's just kind of cool to have a character with a 'quick draw.' CaTigeReptile 18:48, October 28, 2010 (UTC)

Or you could just have high agility. YuriKaslov-M1911 small Yuri Kaslov 18:50, October 28, 2010 (UTC)
  • Very useful if you're using the cowboy perk and its associated weapons, as they have few rounds and long reload times even with the fast reload perk.
  • Switching weapons automatically reloads your previous weapon, potentially eliminating the need to reload entirely.
  • Very useful if you take advantage of the faster run speed offered by single-handed weapons but prefer to use the more powerful two handed weapons in combat.

I dont know how to add a bug section so someone else please do it for me. A bug I've encountered because of this perk is that I can no longer use my right analog stick. I cannot look around and aim or anything

-- im surprised noone has mentioned it, but if you like to toss out the occasional grenade or whatnot, this perk is extremely useful. at 100 explosives skill with demolition expertx3 explosives can be quite powerful...

How relevant is the line "Most of the sniper rifles and better long range rifles have high AP costs to use in VATS, while most one handed weapons have low AP costs." to a perk that has nothing to do with AP? --97.83.178.170 22:57, December 5, 2010 (UTC)

Removed from page because they aren't relevant comparisons: rapid reload and fire ant nectar's agility boost. Reloading is an unrelated mechanic to holstering/switching. The Agility boost is irrelevant because it's not a substitute for this perk, the two can work together. Plus, comparing the use of a semi-rare, potentially addictive item to a permanent perk is a false equivalency. (Thelee (talk) 17:26, July 17, 2012 (UTC))

Melee?[]

I'm assuming it effects melee weapons as well? 76.198.70.129 04:53, July 4, 2011 (UTC)
