The following is a copy of Talk:Pipe pistol as part of the move.

Pipe bolt action pistolEdit

isn't the Pipe bolt-action pistol a totally different weapon? .308 ammo is totally different than .38 ammo

Person above needs to sign their post. I agree that the Pipe Bolt-Action Pistol needs its own page though. Can we make this happen?

SMG conversion Edit

You can convert the pistol into an smg by adding a snub barrel and an auto receiver. I dunno how to edit boxes so there you go.

I'm gonna try to sign this now. Acidic TACO(talk) 08:56, November 20, 2015 (UTC)

Maybe a stock too. I can't remember vary well. I'll try and get a screen cap.

rifle stock + auto mod = SMG designation

Pipe merge Edit

All pipe weapon articles should absolutely be merged, otherwise we should be splitting every single weapon that has a rifle and a pistol stock, into multiple articles. That's obviously absurd. Any pipe weapon is simply a pipe platform with either a pistol stock or a rifle stock, which are attachments. We even have a pipe revolver article, and suggestions for a pipe bolt action rifle.. but there is also a pipe bolt action pistol... and a pipe auto pistol.. and a pipe auto rifle..

This is dumb.

I suggest that the pipe pistol article remain (that's the foundation, to which all the mods are applied), and that all other articles are either merged or deleted. That's the only sensible option. This is a fucking mess.

--Volound (talk) 07:50, December 3, 2015 (UTC)

Not possible to have them all on one page. The Bolt-action Pipe Pistol and Pipe Revolver are seperate weapons entirely. No way to mod them into the same variants. Great Mara (talk) 07:51, December 3, 2015 (UTC)

In that case, why do we have an article for a pipe rifle and pipe pistol (which are simply variants built on the same receiver), but not separate articles for the pipe bolt pistol and the pipe bolt rifle etc. etc.?

--Volound (talk) 07:57, December 3, 2015 (UTC)

Seeing as how the pipe revolver and pipe bolt-action are completely different weapons from the standard semi-automatic weapon, I think it makes sense for them to be on separate pages. I do, however, agree that the pistol and rifle variants of each should be on the same page. --Denki01010100 (talk) 17:43, December 3, 2015 (UTC)

Is there a way to simply redirect searches for both pipe pistol and rifle to the same article, to make it easier on people searching for the item? That would be my only concern. --Denki01010100 (talk) 23:03, December 3, 2015 (UTC)

Just following up to say that I think it has been resolved perfectly, well done to the wiki editors and admins. --Volound (talk) 15:29, December 4, 2015 (UTC)

Guess so. Although now the rifle won't show up in the search anymore. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 15:32, December 4, 2015 (UTC)

Rename to pipe gun Edit

I would suggest that we rename this article to "pipe gun" instead of "pipe pistol", as this is the name used for the items in-game; in the console help "pipe pistol" 4 gives 0 results, while help "pipe gun" 4 gives a large amount of results. Naturally pipe pistol needs to be redirected to pipe gun then, and the pages pipe revolver and pipe bolt-action should stay on their respective pages.

Noticed with the mod names. The standard pipe weapon seen here is referred to in mod boxes as "Pipe gun." Already, there is a redirect for Pipe gun which leads to this page for that specific purpose. I'd definitely second a rename to Pipe gun. Miggy (hawk talk) 00:38, December 30, 2015 (UTC)
