Panda Death and Essential[]

Anyone find the actor ID for her or figure out how to set her essential? She gets killed quite a bit if you don't. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.100.129.195 (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

I'm not smart enough to wiki-ize this:

Possible bug? - When leaving the ferris wheel, if you don't kill all the tribals this chick and her robot can die. Happened to me, at least. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.5.77.30 (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

She can be armed and equipped with power armor via reverse pickpocket. Don't know if it'll enhance her survivability yet, though. 220.245.186.240 16:56, 28 June 2009 (UTC)

Panada can be killed by any enemy that wanders or respawns into the general area. I once found her killed by the wild dogs who normally camp out at the hotel (her un-Protectron was uselessly patrolling another part of the boardwalk). It took some experimenting, but I found the ID to set her essential. I did this simply by clicking on her with the mouse pointer after hitting the tidle ( ` )button. Type the command setessential 0500EA7C 1 and hit enter. Her Base ID is 0500EA7C--the info box needs to be corrected.--http://brianranzoni.com 20:21, November 17, 2009 (UTC)

I fast-traveled to the House of Wares from the motel, and found Panada missing and the Protectron hostile. There were no smugglers or any other enemies around, and I had not attacked Panada earlier, nor could I find her body anywhere, she was simply gone. Fellturtle 07:44, April 12, 2010 (UTC)

Her base id depends upon the load order of your add-on. In my case it is 0400EA7C. Is she essential, or not? The article says she is, yet it also says she can be killed. Needs clarification. ComaDivine 04:58, May 25, 2010 (UTC)

Ooh, good tip about load order. Panada is not essential under any of my playthroughs. In fact, I've accidentally murdered her once not long after meeting her. http://brianranzoni.com 11:17, August 10, 2010 (UTC)

Panada blind?[]

Does anyone feel that she may be blind? The discoloration of her eyes is something prominent in blind people, also some gypsies were blind. That gave them their 'eye into the future' or whatever you would like to call it.

Also it would explain her need for a robot to protect her, among other small things. She doesn't acknowledge you until you talk to her, or get really close to her from my experience. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.133.31.118 (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

Possible glitch?[]

Upon recent arrival at Point Lookout, she was nowhere to be found. I had encountered a fist-fighting only smuggler at the end of the pier somewhat close to her shop, so it's somewhat possible the smuggler had killed her(her Protectron robot had been long dead, killed by a dog, embarrasingly). However, there was no body to be found. 98.21.59.67 04:13, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

Smuggler Attack[]

I have the game of the year edition of Fallout 3 on PS3 and since Saturday(17 Oct.)I have noticed something strange happening to Panada, everytime I fast travel to her shop between 5 and 7 smugglers appear out of nowhere and kill her, the protectron and attempt to kill me. If it helps I attacked every smuggler camp I came across including the one in the woods on the way to the Sacred Bog. Can anyone tell me what is going on because I don't want to lose the best trader in Point Lookout(in my opinion anyway). Is it a scripted event or is it another one of Bethesda's bloody AI bugs?93.107.65.16 19:37, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

The smugglers start to ambush me around the board walk after completing the Blackhall manor quest on the side of good, and after completing the whole rivalry between Professor Calvert and his ghoul nemesis.--http://brianranzoni.com 20:33, November 17, 2009 (UTC)

Panada's Robot[]

Does anyone know/ Can anyone give me the IDs of the robot? Thanks. 90.198.53.207 18:56, December 16, 2009 (UTC)

Probable useless information.[]

Whhhyyyyyyyyyyyyy is it, that the article states her name as 'Madame Panada,' where as her locker says 'Madam Panada's Wares'? (There's no E in Madame on the second one.) Is this due to the fact that this is how it should be wrote in this context, or down to the fact that someone got something wrong. StarfishCostume 13:32, February 2, 2010 (UTC)

Possible bug? PS3 version[]

I'm doing the Velvet Curtain quest at the moment. I entered the bank, and Madam Panada was right there in front of me, acting as a shop O_o. Possible bug anybody? 74.15.24.116 04:37, June 5, 2010 (UTC)

No Karma Loss[]

It seems you can murder Panada with no Karma loss? Is this just me or is it for everyone? Pity that stealing her loot after she's dead still loses karma. Tbuckne2 00:48, June 26, 2010 (UTC)

Solution might be worth trying[]

I found a way to keep Panada alive by reverse pickpocketing her with a Gatling Laser then travel to the capital wasteland then back again to her store and you can see she is now armed (the ammo backpack from the gatling laser will tell you easily). Make sure she equipt her weapon or else she will flee. Alternatively, you can armed her using additem command from the console then equipt her right away. 70.79.103.93 06:16, July 12, 2010 (UTC)

xbox Lv 24 I have tried every combination of weapon and armour now and find that if you leave her at for longer than 1 week without a visit you will find her dead on the boardwalk and the Robot being attacked by the best weapon you left with Panada. 100% condition Hell fire armour will worn and still undamaged--1000HrsFallout3 (talk) 03:26, October 1, 2012 (UTC)

Note[]

Panada has the largest ammunition supply of any vendor in the game, and carries all ammo types except Mesmetron. Buying all of her ammo stock will cost 3000+ caps, even at 100 barter skill and with the 25% discount perk. Torinir 09:07, November 7, 2010 (UTC)

Found Dead, or Not at All[]

I had completed the main quest of PL, and was ferrying my collected loot from the nearby hotel which was my PL safehouse, and some Smugglers spawned near Panada's shop. I looked around and saw that she had been killed by them (her Protectron was vainly trying to climb into a bumper car nearby). After several reloads where the same Smugglers showed up at the same place and killed her, I looked around for a while and saw that Panada was nowhere to be found at all. After one or two more reloads, I finally found her alive (the Smugglers had spawned closer to the hotel). Could I add that sometimes, if killed by an NPC, her body might not show up anywhere? RolandVH 02:42, November 10, 2010 (UTC) Like you at the end of the Calvert quest the script sets about killing her. It can be over come.--1000HrsFallout3 (talk) 07:24, September 19, 2012 (UTC)

Heritage[]

Would it be safe to say that her accent is unusual given that few people, if any, would've visited apocalyptic America and ancestry can be ruled out over a 200 year span of living in a country speaking the language? I'm going to go ahead and put a quick note in the page about it but feel free to remove it if you feel it's unnecessary.

  • This could be a nod to the stereotypical gypsy accent, which can be purposely exaggerated to sound foreign and mystical. The fact she is on a carnival boardwalk would support this.

Don't let the script kill her.[]

xbox. No matter what might be said in the adverts the script is built to drive you forward to an end game conclusion. The removal of characters is part of this plan otherwise you might stay far too long in the game and not buy all the other games annually created for you. To avoid the unecessary loss of wares and welcome breaks spent visitng Panada's Wares never fast travel directly to the House of Wares this will give the script ever chance to use either dogs or smugglers to appear and either drive her away or kill her just before you arrive. If you want to keep her as your levels rise though the 20's fast travel either to The Homestead Motel or Pilgrim's Landing and save. Walk back to Panada and if what you find you don't like, she is missing or dead, then reload and try a different route. FT to PL and try from there. You may then catch the AI out and be able to intercept the killers before they get near enough to either kill her of drive her away. If this doesn't work then finally try FT directly into the House of Wares after exhausing the other two routes and you may even intercept a lone smuggler just before he can kill her. He said "what the F***" as I spawned on top o fhim and just before I killed him (who wrote that script?) He was a lone single AI assassin. Strange?. Conclusion. You can stop the script from getting rid of her and other charcters since character removal of interesting characters is the means used by the game makers to drive you out of the game and into their ever waiting dealers arms.--1000HrsFallout3 (talk) 07:56, September 20, 2012 (UTC)

The game script is written to eradicate Panada.Lv.22 If the wanderer wants to keep Panada alive the Protecteron, who walks aimlessly about, and is about as useful as a debt on pay day, must be destroyed. Having thwarted the script which was using either the dogs or smugglers to kill her I arrived just in time to see the Protecteron trying to kill her and Panada running away into the distance. No other killers dead or alive were involved or nearby. Reset to auto save and destroy the robot. This has no effect on Panada except the killer robot is no more. What will the sneakily written scripts do next? --1000HrsFallout3 (talk) 07:35, September 21, 2012 (UTC)
The thing is that scripts are unavoidable, like Happy Trails and their heads exploding and the slave running from Paradise Falls (whose head also explodes). Panada has never died on by angry protectron otherwise whenever I play. Are you sure Panada's death isn't caused by a bug? It wouldn't be unheard of for a Bethesda game to have a glitch. --Kastera (talk) 12:55, September 21, 2012 (UTC)
I can't prove its not a bug.But it's unusal for a stationary trader to get so consistently plagued by killers and in some eyes the only worthwhile person in Point Look out is Panada, other than the most useful glitch in the whole game Haley.! I'll stick for the momnent with my conspiracy theory..They want the gamer off Point Look out and getting rid of Panada is the way to it and if a bug it's not just my bug, others have found the Protectoron was shooting at her. If a bug then I don't mind trying to defeat a bug especially when it has already defeated so many before me.The only way now for the bug is to " Lauren" her as in Nuka Cola and then I would be beat. Let's wait and see what happens next.I have killed 8 savage dogs, 2 sets of 4 and 1 set of 1 smugglers and now the Protecteron. What can the bug do next? I'm even getting frightened to look over my shoulder when I get near to her...as in the game "Doom" which is good for the blood pressure--1000HrsFallout3 (talk) 16:03, September 21, 2012 (UTC)
xbox. Panada is totally unarmed and tied as a seller of wares to a counter location where after the Wanderer completes the main tasks a lone Smuggler will continually spawn at intervals in front of her counter armed with a grenade until she is killed or runs away.If driven off there are other enemies close by. The Protecteron gets hung up around the games machines and is unable to defend her and given time will also turn hostile to both Panada and the Wanderer( confirmed by other players) although exactly how this happens is not known. In time it will also fall victim to a smuggler--1000HrsFallout3 (talk) 19:38, September 22, 2012 (UTC)I have equipped Panada with Lesley's "Ultra SMG" and 100 rnds of 10mm which I find she now carries.--1000HrsFallout3 (talk) 06:11, September 22, 2012 (UTC)

Panada must die[]

Arm Panada with Lesley's "Ultra 10mm SMG ,and she or the Protecteron can deal with the grenade throwing smuggler. The script then spawns a smuggler alongside her behind the counter, armed with spiked knuckle dusters. This is the point where gamers complain she has vanished, as she runs off into the wasteland chased by the smuggler and is never seen again. Armed with the SMG she puts up a winning fight only to have the script immediately sneak a smuggler armed with a combat shotgun onto the scene able to destroy the Protecteron and kill Panada. This is where she is then found dead near the counter. If you arm her with a Gatling Lazer it takes far too long for her to equip the bulky weapon and the first smuggler with the spiked fist kills her. It's called a loose ! loose situation.--1000HrsFallout3 (talk) 07:07, September 23, 2012 (UTC) xbox Lv 25. How the game will get rid of Panada if you heavily arm her.The game will first spawn a Smuggler along side her behind the counter armed with a hand grenade and spiked knuckle dusters, and then when she is drawn out to dispose of that attack will immediately spawn a smuggler armed with a Sawn off Shot Gun and grenade who approaches from the quayside. She walks towards the corner to investigate and they both meet on the corner of the boardwalk. The smugglers shoots the weapong out of Panada`s hand with the first double barrel shot and then finishes her off as she turns to flee. The only way to save her is to be on the scene at 00.01 Wednesday morning and shoot both smugglers yourself then go back to the Wasteland to carry on with the game knowing you must return by the following Wednesday.--1000HrsFallout3 (talk) 01:28, October 6, 2012 (UTC)

Add mods and Panada still lives[]

xbox.Lvl.23 The dead now pile up around her. Dashing their hopes against a wall of steel. `Reverse pickpocket' and arm her with 100% Haley HellFire- dura frame- Armour from Broken steel, Lesley's 100% 10mm Ultra SMG, 100% Haley .308 Sniper rifle which Panada prefers and, 1 rnd of ammo for each gun, and the attackers just pile up dead at her feet. No more running!, Panada backs away, shoots `em dead and then returns to the counter instead of fleeing. Health steady at 8 bars. Robot not so good. Bloatflies from the over the wall have crippled his leg and he`s stuck round the bumber cars. Unused mod weapons appear for sale in her inventory as well as on her person.--1000HrsFallout3 (talk) 05:44, September 28, 2012 (UTC)

xbox. Lv l24. To keep her alive is a challenge. She has to be nursed through the raiders Wednesday visiting periods which will only occur if the Wanderer spends time away in the wasteland returning 00.05am every Wednesday to check on her.If this is not done she may well turn up dead by Thursday from a double grenade and spiked knuckle duster attack by two smugglers spawned next to her counter, where she will be killed even though she is heavily armed and armored. --1000HrsFallout3 (talk) 01:26, October 3, 2012 (UTC)

Small issue with Animal Friend[]

I arrived for the very first time in Point Lookout, and there were some dogs and a Mole Rat running around, but since I had the Animal Friend perk they were no issue for me. Exploring the area I noticed a dead Protectron, but I thought it might just be part of the area. (After reading this page I know now that it was Panada's.) Then I saw Panada, but she was fleeing and I was unable to talk to her. I then realized it was due to the dogs and the Mole Rat. So I had to go kill them before I could talk to her. TL;DR if you have Animal Friend you still have to kill the animals because they cause her to flee.

Reading all of the issues people have had on this page, there's quite a bit... Honestly it was a dumb idea to have a vendor in an open area like this... --Jasper Kazai (talk) 00:53, July 5, 2014 (UTC)
