Bugs[]

Not sure if all of these are bugs, but it’s just what I noticed in my game. These are all on the 360.

VATS often seems to not work correctly. With 100 guns skill and a fully repaired weapon, I had countless times when I would be 20 feet from an enemy, put 4 rounds of VATS into his torso, and miss the first 3, this despite it giving me a 95% chance of a hit. There is no way I would miss from that distance in the main game or any of the other add-ons.

When in sneak/crouched mode, it will indicate “Caution” when no threat exists. This will continue until you load a new area.

Enemy often spawn immediately in front of you. Two places I noticed it was on the west side of the Higgs village building, if walking beside it two Lobotomites will spawn right next to you. Also three Y-17’s will spawn in the SW corner of X-7a artillery launch site just outside the fence area, again right in front of you.

There are 3-4 groups of lobotomites who spawn around the outside perimeter of the think tank. If you exit and circle around you will encounter them, however once you take them all out, if you enter the think tank and exit again they will immediately respawn, often with the dead bodies of the last group still lying on the ground.

This immediate respawning happens in other areas too, just not as often as around the think tank. This makes it especially hard to explore the area because once you battle a couple groups, you’re usually pretty low on health and often weighed down with loot, but if you return to the SINK to heal up and drop off loot you will often have to fight the same enemy all over again, this can turn into a huge pain in the ass.

Sneaking is all but useless in OWB. Even with 100 sneak, silent running, wearing the MK II suit in the middle of the night you will be spotted almost the second their red hash marks appear on your radar, even if their line of sight is blocked by something. It’s like all enemy, lobotomites especially, have an ultra high perception. ReapTheChaos 20:12, June 11, 2012 (UTC)

I have increasing crashes when auto-traveling inside OWB. Not sure if this is game or DLC related though. - Redmess (talk) 12:42, August 6, 2012 (UTC)
Crashing is generally not included in our bug pages due to the fact that they mostly occur due to outside circumstances. I.e. system overheating/running out of memory or poor room ventilation. ~ Toci ~ Go ahead, make my day. 13:05, August 6, 2012 (UTC)

Fast travel from Sink balcony to Magnetohydraulics Complex → Death-tention![]

Has anyone else encountered this: After fast traveling from the Sink balcony to the Magnetohydraulics Complex, you find yourself teleported back to the balcony. There you find a Strange Cask right next to you along with a large stack of frag mines (all armed and beeping) resulting in a very quick death. After a few tries, I was, able to disarm all the mines by taking a hit of Turbo and being very quick about things. Once the mines are disarmed, this particular fast travel selection still results in being teleported back to the balcony but without the whole mines and death thing. This only happens between these two locations, as far as I can tell. It has happened across multiple playthroughs, so it doesn't appear to be just a freak thing with a particular savefile. Googling and browsing the wiki have not turned up anyone else discussing this issue, so am I alone? --FFIX (talk) 23:44, September 24, 2012 (UTC)

I know it's a couple years late, but I can confirm this one on PC. When traveling from the balcony to the Magnetohydraulics Complex, the loading screen comes up, then the screen quickly fades to black and flashes the loading screen again. I reappear on the balcony with the beep of frag mines. If I'm fast enough, I can get out of the blast zone without turbo, but using turbo lets me see the big pile of mines and scrap electronics sitting there. This part differs for me according to what OP said; I do not see the strange cask appear unless I reload the autosave created when trying to travel. Other saves are unaffected and the strange cask will not appear. In addition to the above, if I survive the explosion and then go back inside, many enemies (on this latest try it was 4 lobotomites, 3 roboscorpions, and a nightstalker) spawn right there on the balcony. 68.68.128.8 00:14, April 5, 2014 (UTC)
I can second to this, nearly 10 years later now and have not been able to find anyone else running into this issue other than this page. I survived the first explosion as I was level 80 at the time, healed up and tried fast traveling there again, and was met with being back on the balcony. I then went out the front door instead and that worked fine although I did notice a Lobotomite falling naked from the sky in front of me. I then fast travelled back up to the balcony where I was greeted with 2 cyber dogs and a single lobotomite and a cask of "Battle Brew" next to the door, I then noticed all the random Misc items all over the place as well, lots of scrap electronics and a few loose battle Brew on the floor as well. Very strange time all around and not something I have experienced before in my 10 odd years on this game. I am on PC also and have a good few mods so I was in the mindset that was the cause. Only mods installed that affect OWB was Roxie companion, and 2 Stealth Suit fixes. Ok so the bug that involves the sink not restocking can be quite a problem and the best fix i have found is to clean out its caps as low as you can. then wait outside the sink somewhere far away i used mysterious cave and wait 7 seven days then walk do not fast travel back(i know sucks) then wait twelve hours right in front of the sinks door and go in then you should be all set —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.138.177.178 (talkcontribs) 15:42, October 26, 2015‎‎.
