Bakersfield is nowhere near where Necropolis appears on the Fallout map. I'm not sure if it was originally intended to be the same place, or it was pure speculation in the Fallout bible as it was never mentioned in the games. Ekarderif 06:30, 8 Mar 2005 (GMT)

It is said in the Vault Locations v34.129 holodisk. According to Chris Avellone, it was initially meant to be located in the place of Bakersfield, but was later on moved on the map by someone who didn't know it's supposed to be that town. Ausir 15:49, 8 Mar 2005 (GMT)
