The Dead Presidents[]

I know this kind of a silly question, but who are the faces on the NCR Bills? I know Aradesh is on the five, but who are the guys on the 20 and 100 dollar bills? Edit: Okay, I found out the Twenty says First Ranger Seth, I think it's referring to Seth from Fallout 1 but I'm not sure. 71.105.140.83 22:30, October 23, 2010 (UTC)

Talk about inflation.[]

100$ for a goddamn carton of cigarettes. And some people complain about today's prices. YuriKaslov-M1911 small Yuri Kaslov 02:17, October 30, 2010 (UTC)

Well, yeah. But most people don't have their one and only gold deposit backing the money destroyed either lol... BillyH666 17:47, October 30, 2010 (UTC)

where do I exchange this for caps?[]

Go to a casino and exchange for gambling chips, I believe you can then trade back for caps. --Mycatisorange 14:36, November 11, 2010 (UTC)

Why has the value of NCR currency deflated in the mojave?[]

I know the brotherhood destroyed the gold reserves and the NCR decided to back the currency with water, but I thought I remember chomp lewis mentioning that the reason the money was worth less was because mojave traders were reluctant to accept NCR money. --Boredintheusa 05:07, June 10, 2011 (UTC)

They dislike NCR cash because its worth is deflated, not because they hold a grudge. If NCR reserves existed and the money was payable in specie, it'd be a different story. Personal_Sig_Image.gif Tagaziel (call!) 10:31, June 10, 2011 (UTC)

The value of NCR dollars(and probably coin back in the NCR) is deflated well because, it's paper! Say you have whatever paper currency your country has, For example I have 1 U.S. Dollar and Im walking around the wasteland and OH! I find some water, I go down and drink some, My dollar gets wet and gets ripped, bye bye dollar.

Plus, all of the other parts of the wasteland use durable bottlecaps so why use something that is easy to lose, and hard to make? Saxony4 05:18, June 10, 2011 (UTC)

Possible glitch?[]

My NCR $100 is only worth 21 caps to everyone I attempt to trade it to. I thought that, as a currency, it's vaule stayed constant, apparently 40 caps? Troy242621 03:39, September 5, 2011 (UTC)

Platform? Nitty Tok. 03:42, September 5, 2011 (UTC)

Play Station 3, all the patches installed. Does the same to my Legion money at all merchants. In my inventory, it says the correct corresponding value, but when traded it's value deflates. I assume it's because it's affected by my low Barter skill, but the article said it should be unaffected. Troy242621 15:48, September 5, 2011 (UTC)

The "Battle of Redding"[]

Hey all. I know I don't contribute here often enough, so I'm sorry if this is seen as me stepping on anybody's feet. It was recently brought up in /r/falloutlore modmail on reddit that the "Battle of Redding" is not actually canon. I did some digging and can't find a hard, canon source for it. Thus, I've removed the reference to it on this page under "Background". I am of course completely open to being corrected, and if somebody finds a true canon source to back this event, I'll gladly revert the edit myself. Shaka1277 (talk) 19:24, April 3, 2017 (UTC)

Small note following on from this edit. I don't know why "NCR Currency" is bolded; there's no bolding syntax around it. If somebody could clear that up and possibly let me know what (if anything) I did wrong, I'd appreciate it. Shaka1277 (talk) 19:37, April 3, 2017 (UTC)
