I'm not sure if it is level dependent but I found 5 Chinese Assault Rifles in the area. Three were on the back of a cart near the Wasteland Captive along with four ammo cans. Two were propped against a wall next to some ammo cans in the bombed out building NE of Mason District South, home to two Super Mutants. They are in poor shape but perfect for keeping my Xuanlong repaired.
