We really don't know this?! Somebody do something! Nitpicker of the Wastes 03:40, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

Actually, we do. Someone didn't know that unless stated otherwise, FOT perks are identical to FO2 ones. Ausir 03:55, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
Ah, thanks. Nitpicker of the Wastes 03:58, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

Can't you already see the health of the NPC w/o the LA perk?[]

Just as the title states, what is the usefullness of this perk in NV? Can't you already see the health of a NPC when you cursor over it? Also, is how useful is knowing what the NPC's DT is? If my ammo is being effected by superior DT, the shield shows up, which I counter by easily and quickly changing to armor piercing rounds. Trizzip 04:59, December 11, 2010 (UTC)

  • Maybe I'm just a number whore, but I like seeing exactly how much damage I do. I can also check up on the max HP of a target quickly with V.A.T.S., because it shows numbers, rather than a percentage. Useful for checking up on followers as well. It even tracks overkill (negative target HP). 70 Medicine also helps your med usage effectiveness greatly. The damage bonus is good too. All in all, i saves you from memorizing the HP and stats of your targets. The perk isn't as awesome as it was in F2, but it's not bad. --Dthvirus 23:44, December 15, 2010 (UTC)
  • a lot of "high DT targets" actually just have a whole bunch of health, like hardened sentry bot and nightkins, this perk is very useful here
  • You do not see a shield if your shots are being affected by superior DT, only when they are being entirely negated by superior DT. E.g., if you are using a gun/ammo combination that does 12 damage with no DT mod, and your target has a DT of 10, you won't know directly (without this perk) that after three hits you've done only 6 damage rather than 36. You'll have to have some sense of the enemy's total HP to know this, and notice that his health doesn't seem to be going down as fast as it should. Cjstokyo 16:30, September 8, 2011 (UTC)
  • If you're playing as a sniper being able to scout out your enemies DT without having to engage them is very handy as it allows you to choose the ideal weapon and ammunition type without revealing your location. Implodinggoat (talk) 02:53, September 21, 2013 (UTC)

FNV Notes:[]

"Different from its description. It simply adds 5% damage to you (or just show +5% damage on anything but still only against humanoids), not necessarily for Human and non-feral Ghouls, this can be viewed by checking the damage in your inventory."

The grammar here renders this paragraph hard to follow. As I have never taken this perk, I don't feel qualified to edit this. Can someone please modify this paragraph a bit? Thanks. FSBDavy 07:55, May 10, 2011 (UTC)

I second FSBDavy's question. Is this supposed to mean that the perk simply gives a +5% damage bonus against any enemy rather than restricting the bonus only to humans and non feral ghouls as its description would have you believe?

+5% Damage To Humans & Non-Feral Ghouls[]

I've seen a lot of people saying this perk is glitched and that you actually do more damage to every creature instead of what the perk says. Well, I just got done testing it. Big Horners take the same amount of damage with or without the perk. Super Mutants, Feral Ghouls and Radscorpions, no difference either. Humans and Non-Feral Ghouls do take more damage with the perk. They took 74 damage without the perk, 78 with it. That rounds to 5% more damage. So I think the perk works correctly. Maybe it was glitched and fixed in a patch, I don't know. I think confusion stems from a display bug. After taking the perk displayed damage stat of weapons in Pip-Boy is increased by 5%. Slider2k 22:16, May 23, 2012 (UTC)

This must be a bug?[]

I shot three Lakelurks and Living Anatomy registered it as -896, -942 and -1040. It is impossible to do that much damage, right? It was the base game, completely un-modded. Has anyone else experienced anything like this, and if so, should it be added to the article as a possible bug? 2.2 Dog 00:36, November 28, 2011 (UTC)

request for screenshot of Living Anatomy for New Vegas[]

A screenshot of this perk in action in Fallout: New Vegas would be much appreciated. 72.187.135.53 14:47, June 3, 2012 (UTC)

There's already one on the page. See the gallery section.-- The Gunny 380px-USMC-E7 svg 14:50, June 3, 2012 (UTC)
