I think the unique ghouls were freed by Elijah, who apparently deactivated multiple bomb collars, since there is no other explanation for them being outside of the camp.

Japanese -American spying and other seditious activites[]

In 1988 Congress found that the 1942 governments actions were based on "race prejudice, war hysteria, and a failure of political leadership". They then eventually disbursed more than $1.6 billion in reparations to Japanese Americans who had been (wrongfully) interned.--1000HrsFallout3 (talk) 01:56, September 8, 2012 (UTC)

And, what does this have to do with the article? Paladin117>>iff bored; 02:03, September 8, 2012 (UTC)
Please do not post "trivia" of this sort on talk pages, unless you believe it actually has a chance of going into the article (which this doesn't). --Skire (talk) 02:07, September 8, 2012 (UTC)

Who are you? when potentially libellous triva is already included on the heading page. Quote : Behind the scenes. ■ The camp is reminiscent of the Japanese internment camps the United States government set up during World War II, where suspected Japanese-Americans were detained under the suspicion of "spying and other seditious activities". Either remove this quote from the heading page or add the above decision by congress in 1988 which counters the first commnent. The idea of a talk page is to talk, not get squashed by people like you,and if you believe a correction is not due then I will take the matter up with the relevant people who do.--1000HrsFallout3 (talk) 11:03, September 8, 2012 (UTC)

The purpose of a discussion page is to discuss improvements to the page. The bit about Congress handing out reparations is irrelevant to the game or Fallout universe; the interment is pertinent as a fun allusion. --Kastera (talk) 05:26, September 9, 2012 (UTC)
Luckily for you and yours I'm not Japanese-American or I would take a serious offence to having such an inflammatory remark made about my ancestors that tags them all under the heading of "spying and seditious behavior". Whoever wrote this so recently on a heading page is wrong and it seems is unable to stand up to the mark and admit an error in judgement .The comment you have made that is it pertinent as a' fun allusion' is not so funny when you are (a) innocent. (b) old and insecure and yet transported, (c) have had your life stolen from your under the guise of war hysteria (d) have all your precious possessions belonging to you lost or stolen from you and (e) eventually died,as many did living in such confines without reparation. We are all grownups ,and coming from a country as I do that invented the word and application of concentration camps as a world model we should be able to at least admit errors when they are made. The one and only remarks made about Japanese - Americans interred for (spying and seditious behavior) should be either removed or modified in the light of their exoneration by the 1988 investigating committee. I can't alter the wording on the lead page since it is beyond my remit but think strongly that it should be altered. As we are at this point finally in a correct discussion mode, thanks to you, I will rest my case but think an alteration is nevertheless the correct thing to do.--1000HrsFallout3 (talk) 06:48, September 9, 2012 (UTC)
I'm not disputing that it was a terrible misdeed by the U.S. government, but the fact of the matter is that the sentence in the behind the scenes section has nothing wrong with it. The U.S. government did round up Japanese-Americans and detained them under the suspicion of "spying and other seditious activities". That isn't wrong; it's prejudiced hate, but it is still correct which is what the wiki is about. --Kastera (talk) 07:09, September 9, 2012 (UTC)
As I said. The final decision is up to you. I just rest my case.--1000HrsFallout3 (talk) 07:18, September 9, 2012 (UTC)
3 people have responded to your original post and none have agreed that it is relevant, and thus nothing will come of this. --Skire (talk) 18:51, September 9, 2012 (UTC)
I expect you are right.--1000HrsFallout3 (talk) 21:48, September 9, 2012 (UTC)

Japanese internment camps, while wrong, didn't generally involve mass death and human experimentation. That's the realm of Unit 731 and the nazi death camps. The comparison to japanese internment camps, while it's part of the origin, also downplays ridiculously the level of horror hinted at in the pre-war backstory material. They weren't interned, they were farmed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.252.76.122 (talkcontribs) 18:47, October 12, 2012 (UTC). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!
