The Big Three

What does the article mean by the big three?

When a Soldier is captured by enemy forces, it is a commonly held practice to only tell them your name, rank, and serial number. Hence the term "The Big Three"

Well, not just soldiers; any military personnel, really. And its the big four. The editor that put "the big three" is just a dumbass. And it's not just common practice; that's all you are required by the laws of war to give for identification purposes: name, rank, service number, and date of birth.
