Does anyone know for sure if he is still alive and actually around during Trouble on the Homefront if you let him live during Escape!, or is it just dialogue from his daughter Christine? Does killing him or letting him live during Escape have any effect on that? --Lone Plunderer 23:08, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

Yes, for sure. If he is alive after escape he can be found near the cell and has some dialogue. Same goes for officers Hannon and Mack if they are alive they are in the same area. It has no effect on Christine's dialogue if he is actually dead or alive. She says the same thing. But perhaps he was just unconscious and wounded when you left him for dead during escape!Croquignol 15:26, October 17, 2010 (UTC)

Pickpocketing stimpacks

I'm not an editor, but thought I'd leave a note here that I did pickpocket the stimpacks mentioned in the main article. I checked immediately afterword and they were in my inventory. But apparently I got sick during the ensuing six years, because when I went to take the G.O.A.T. I checked my inventory again and they were gone.71.62.26.6 12:38, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

Yes, and why don't you have the baseball cap and Grognak the barbarian copy during the GOAT ? There are 10 stimpaks in your room at the beginning of escape. Where do they come from ? Did you pickpocket some other guards during the ensuing 6 years ?Croquignol 15:32, October 17, 2010 (UTC)

The GOAT has a question that mentions trading away something for an issue of Grognak. Maybe someone traded these stims for your issue?--201.10.39.227 07:27, October 18, 2010 (UTC)

Copyright Question?

I don't have the Fallout 3 Official Game Guide by the way, but I just wanted to mention that the "Background" section looks to me like it was copied verbatim. Because of the associated copyright, plagiarising is not a trivial matter, and plagiarism should never, ever survive more than a day on the site. But I am surprised the copyright holders haven't taken it down already. Unless you policies state that users have special privileges allowing them to copy from the game guide? If I am presuming ill-intent when it isn't then I owe a small apology if any statements of mine are wrong. SniperKing1 (talk) 17:58, December 12, 2014 (UTC)

Can anyone with the guide verify this? Agent c (talk) 21:01, December 12, 2014 (UTC)
Entry for John Kendall on page 358-05 reads:
Tough, friendly, and no-nonsense, he's not actively sinister, but he'll follow orders without thinking about it too much. He is not an introspective sort of guy. He loves being a cop and doesn't worry about whether what he's doing is right; he is the law.— Fallout 3 guide, page 358-05

Although I though it was known by everyone that whoever that was was putting entries from the guide books on the character pages when they did it. Can't remember the account name though. Will try checking page history. Great Mara (talk) 21:27, December 12, 2014 (UTC)

As far as I can tell Eddo36 was the one replacing background sections with quotes from the game guides. Great Mara (talk) 21:36, December 12, 2014 (UTC)
I think then we have to reword this, there's no reason for it to be verbatim.Agent c (talk) 22:24, December 12, 2014 (UTC)
Are you actually taking this issue seriously?? It is breaking the law to plagiarise from the game guide. I don't care if anyone thinks it is fair use; if the copyright holders saw this, they could take legal action against the site. They might just ask the information to be taken down, but they might go the extra mile by ordering the poster of the plagiarised content to pay an unlimited fine, or they could even go to prison for it. God knows. SniperKing1 (talk) 18:06, December 13, 2014 (UTC)
This has been copied from the game guide. The above post will be removed because it's plagiarism. Any further attempts to put plagiarised information on the wiki are not on, and will be removed on sight. Does this make sense? SniperKing1 (talk) 01:35, December 14, 2014 (UTC)
A, talking about a quote on a talkpage during a conversation about said content is not plagiarising when its being referred to in a conversation. B, you were already told not to edit other's messages on talkpages. And finally, your hamfisted edit to the main page not only removed what was quoted from the guide but original content as well, and it you really want to act that recklessly then C your way the fuck out of here.
