Item Code.

Ok, anyone who hasn't done this quest yet, or are about to do it again, make sure to get the item code so we can unflag it as a quest item, or get rid of it (player.removeitem) entirely!

If nobody's got the code by the time I do another playthrough, I'll grab it myself.

Regarding Weight & Value[]

I own the PS3 version of Fallout 3, and just obtained the Ink Container while Completing part of Moira's guidebook quest (I have not reached the "Stealing Independence" quest). For some reason, the Ink Container is listed as having a weight of --, and a value of --. I confirmed the null weight by discarding all other weighted items in my inventory, save for a fork (Wg: 0.5). I am unsure whether its status as a quest item is causing this, or if it's part of the recent update which included trophies. --98.206.205.14 14:20, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

(360) also weightless. Is about the same in use and appearance to a house theme item which is in your misc and unable to be moved. (Both are considered quest items.) Having this item on you doesn't affect you what so ever, if anything if its bugged on you think of it as a trophy. "the ink used to make a perfect copy of the declaration, what an honor to have it stuck on me." If its still bothering you simply blow button's head off or if you have robotics expert sneak shut him down. You loose a bit of karma however you can easily gain it back by turning in about 10 or so purified waters to a homeless person(or if you have lawbringer turn in some fingers.) At that point it should be canceled as a quest item due to its pertaining npc being dead. Drop it at your leisure.

(360) Weightless as well. I don't know if it's stuck on me or not though, seeing as I havn't met Button yet. Could it be that the weight value was reduced to -- in the patch? --98.180.4.125 00:31, October 13, 2009 (UTC)
(360) It's still weightless, even after completing Stealing Independence. I haven't been able to drop it, either. It stays labelled as a quest item, possibly because I did Stealing Independence before finding it. --24.90.103.49 20:48, August 19, 2010 (UTC)

Information Needed[]

Just made quite a few edits to this article. We need information about what happens when this item is turned in at the end of the quest described. --The Incendiary 16:52, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

General Cleanup[]

I just did a cleanup of the Bugs section. One person posted an unconfirmed fix for one of the bugs. If anyone could test it out it would be much appreciated. :) BrenMan 94 00:44, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

No ink in the library[]

I own the 360 version and I cant find the ink I checked the entire library and then some and still no ink. Possible bug? Is there any where else that I could obtain the ink?

Still in inventory[]

I killed Button and it's still there, I can't drop it.--86.157.107.250 15:21, December 5, 2009 (UTC)
