How do I recharge my car? I have the fusion cells.

Recharging[]

To recharge the car have in your inventory either small energy cells or microfusion cells, stand by it, hold left mouse mouse button (while having the cursor above it). This will show a list of things you can do. Choose the one with the "bag" icon and use the cells. "You charge the car with more power." should the appear and you should be able to use it once again.

Two Cars?[]

After an encounter i went to Vault city and found my Highwayman at the entrance without the trunk... but i leave my car in Broken Hills, i went there and found my old car, with the trunk, i tested the car in vault city with a trip to new reno and the car appeared with the trunk once again, i leave it there and i went to get the Broken hills car, but this one dissaperead, i didn't lost any of my stuff both trunks contained the same objects but, as i said before, i lost one of the cars... anybody has suffered this same bug or glitch?

Return in Fallout: New Vegas?[]

Does anyone think that the Highwayman will appear again in "Fallout: New Vegas"? I hope it will because there is a rumor going around that vehicles will be in "Fallout: New Vegas". Chiefsean16 12:04, January 30, 2010 (UTC)

That would be awesome. It would certainly be different thought, considering traveling in a car would problaby be in 3rd or 1st person, because the gameplay would be like in FO3. --[[Special:Contributions/24.161.144.250|Post-apocalyptic-guy 07:33, February 10, 2010 (UTC)]]

Seems like fan wishfulness to me, it'd be interesting, but I doubt it.Aryeonos 05:52, March 8, 2010 (UTC)

I found the Highwayman in New Vegas. It's south and a little west of Clark Field. It's wrecked and there's some ammo and armor in the trunk.

Trunk Space?[]

Exactly how much space does the normal car have? I was filling my trunk with random weapons to sell, but it eventually came up with the message "there is no space for that item" so exactly how much weight can the trunk hold? knowing this number would be helpful for when scavenging, on what to take and what to leave. --Post-apocalyptic-guy 07:32, February 10, 2010 (UTC)

I thought it was five hundred, although the supposed upgrade t-ray adds doesn't seem to increase the trunk space at all.Aryeonos 05:49, March 8, 2010 (UTC)

According to Per Jorner, the trunk counts size, not weight. So don't store items that have zero weight in the trunk (like chems).--Amitakartok 13:34, June 26, 2010 (UTC)

/* Trunk Space? */ Mark MDNC You can store as much ammunition in the as you want.(grenades are not ammo)

Upgrades[]

How do I use the upgrades?

Are they automaticlly work or do I have to install them?

Nevermind, I just found out that I had to go back to Smithy to install them for me.

Chryslus vs. Chrysalis[]

Is there any canonical reason to think that the Highwayman was a Chryslus rather than Chrysalis car? Is it in Avellone's Fallout Bible or something? (Serious question; I haven't read through the whole Fallout bible.) I know, in Fallout, there was the Chryslus Corvega, and if there's a contradiction between Fallout and Fallout 2, going with Fallout is fine as far as I'm concerned. However, there doesn't really seem to be a contradiction to me. Chryslus and Chrysalis sound/look similar at first listen/glance, I'll admit. So do Honda and Hyundai. So, if Fallout's intro had featured an ad for the Honda Accord, and Fallout 2 had a drivable Hyundai Sonata, would you assume that Fallout 2 had messed up, and say that it was actually a Honda Sonata? In short, why couldn't Chryslus have produced the Corvega, and Chrysalis have produced the Highwayman? Idhan Late April, 2011 (UTC)

Because they look and sound almost EXACTLY the same? Honda and Hyundai don't ook the same, they only sound similiar. Occam's Razor - most likely it was a case of the spellchecker correcting a perceived mistake. Furthermore, while Chryslus Motors is referred to several times, Chrysalis is just once and can even be considered Smitty's slip of the tongue. Okay. In light of T-Ray's reference to it as a "Chryslus" car, I think you're right. It seems like a chief mechanic in a New Reno garage is more likely to know what he's talking about than Smitty. Idhan 22:25, April 27, 2011 (UTC)

Missing Car?[]

I had parked my Highwayman in west New Reno, and I return to find it gone! Could anyone help me out? 24.93.137.154 00:17, August 10, 2011 (UTC)

Random ranting[]

Bit silly that the car is said to use a fuel cell and electric motors, yet has the option to have a blower installed. Not to mention that the car has a blower sticking out of the bonnet, modeled after the one on the Mad Max Interceptor vehicle, from the very beginning..

Oh well. I'll headcanon this car to be some sort of nuclear internal combustion powered thing. :p --Joffeloff 22:05, March 30, 2012 (UTC)

Why can't I run people over with it in FO2?[]

Mantises popping up? Enclave Patrolmen? Rats? Wolves? Raiders? Kaga(Restoration Project)? Why do I have to step out of the car and fight them, rather than running them over?

If you encounter Enclave Patrols that can kill you in a single turn, you are not going to step out of the car and line up your party for the firing squad. You will run them over. 71.198.204.1 16:49, November 22, 2014 (UTC)
