I had a Wounding version of this weapon and sometimes it loses sound. The shot echo on the other hand can not only be heard but it sometimes persist, which is highly annoying. Did some testing and it takes effect so far on all Handmades with a legendary mod on them. I found no particular means to overcome this other than loading a previous save game in which the weapon is not affected, yet (it seems inevitable). However, dropping and picking it up again, or storing and retrieving it seems to "force" this bug. --Radnus 86.84.129.168 00:54, September 6, 2016 (UTC)

Also happens to me with this rifle. Actually came here to talk about this, asking if we should add this to the buglist. There is however a neat quickfix, just Quicksave the game and load that quicksave; the bug will be fixed, until it appears again in a few hours.

Behind the scenes; real life counterpart[]

The rifle apparently is actually based off of this guys creation.

Are the Mod Form IDs really right?[]

Tried to add the "Powerful automatic receiver" to the Handmade, via console. On the page it's referred to as xx037B35 (06037B35 for me), however using "help 0" gave me the ID 06037887. The former could not be added to the weapon, the latter could. Something's up.

EDIT: Apparently these Form IDs are not OMOD tags but MISC tags for some reason. They are nonetheless technically correct Form IDs for these specific mods. (Both ID tags are eligible as "Form ID").

Handmade rifle, my ass[]

This gun is literally just a Kalashkinov-series gun. It’s in Fallout 76 where it claims to be created by settlers after the war. Pffft.—Preceding unsigned comment added by GasMaskEnjoyer (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

Ignoring 76, all the information given in game states the Nuka-World raiders made these, and "handmade" is in the name. Under the current real world weapons policy, unless there's a explicit developer statement on a weapons inspiration, it doesn't matter how close the resemblance is. Mostly to avoid arguments over if it's an AK47, AKM, or any other Warsaw Pact/Chinese/Vietnamese/etc pattern of Kalashnikov rifle. Aiden4017 (talk) 04:15, 25 March 2023 (UTC)
