Bug with Doctor Henry speech check

I think there might be a bug with the Doctor Henry speech check. I have 100 speech, yet it says I have 80/90 required and I fail it. Am I doing something wrong?

The Docs experiment

Can anyone tell me how long it takes for the doc to run the experiment on Lily?? I've waited 12 hours game time, left and came back and he still hasn't completed it. Is my game glitched?

He did it immediately after I'd asked Lily if she still wanted to help in my game, so i think yours might be glitched.

If you wait using the wait function, it doesn't work; you need to manually wait. And it is about 30 seconds.

The best way to deal with this glitch is to save, exit the game and then load your save. The experiment should then continue.

Another way to fix it is to wait until the doc is standing near Lilly and then run against him and "push" him towards Lilly until the script kicks in.

Yea that worked for me. Just push the doc close enough to lilly and itll take off from there

Different Effects

Anyone care to elaborate?

Can someone confirm what the "effects on the game," are? Or did the dick who added that part just make it up? I just completed the quest and am not that far out but haven't noticed anything immediately after.

I'm not the dude who asked the question, but came here to ask a similar question. I saved, and then did both options (telling the Doc not to run the test, and telling the doc to run the test) but can't find any discernible difference. I expected if you ran the test Lily would gain the ability to use the stealth boy when she snuck, but was dissapointed, heh.

I chose to have her keep wearing the Stealth Boy, and somehow she ended up perma-cloaked for the rest of the game. I assumed this was on purpose and it was definitely a mixed blessing. She got shot accidentally a ton because she's melee and I was guns. Also if she wandered away you'd never find her again and needed to use the moveto console command. 67.246.15.91 07:49, January 4, 2011 (UTC)

I chose for Lily to wear the prototype and didn't notice any difference, including permanent stealth. Unless somebody else can verify this or some other effect, we should change that line something like, "It is unknown if this has any effect". --24.179.141.137 23:00, January 19, 2011 (UTC)

Stuck

And I'm pissed. There has to be a way to un-glitch this. I've pick-pocketed Doctor Henry about 10 times and it is not fixing my bug. When I tried to kill Lily, everyone attacked me. Are there any other ways?

Well, I managed to kill Lily, but it did not help me. How can I reset this script or something?

Unstucking via console

Nevermind guys, I've found some kind of solution: 1) Go to console 2) Enter "CompleteAllObjectives 0013f405" 3) Enter "setstage 0013f405 60" 4) Now you have to go speak to Keene by yourself (he won't run into lab) Somebody, please fix my grammar and put this manual into article. --nv0id

I would like to let everyone know that this fix actually works. It should be placed in the main article next to the bug -GuzmanA

For me this left Lily perm-invisible which, of course, doesn't matter much but I used the commands here and it got the experiment to 'complete' and let me finish the quest but my experience: Invisi-Lily.

Stuck after speech check with keene

I'm on the 360 and i've completed the speech check with keene. I then went to the Doctor and spoke to him saw i needed 90 science went to get my lab coat, then when i came back the doctor wants me to still talk to keene and keene wants me to talk to the doctor... Anyone got a fix for this, other than reverting to a previous save?

I am also having this problem and i cannot talk to Lily to dismiss her. She just say's "That Keene, always causing trouble."

Dr. Henry stuck in Remnant's Bunker.

I am trying to start this quest, but for some reason Dr. Henry is not in Jacobstown. The reason for this is because I initially went to go get Rex fixed, and instead of Dr. Henry being there his map marker is stuck inside the Remnants Bunker. I tried to fix this by simply doing For Auld Lang Syne and going inside the Remnants Bunker, but it turns out that Dr Henry is also required to open that door. I've seen no other postings about this, and I don't know why this happened, but I'm assuming there's probably no way to fix it? 132.170.32.185 07:16, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

Lily's Dead?

One day i was stealing some legionary armor from the fort then the next real day when i was playing about to finish Guess Who I Saw Today turns out Lily's dead. so i loaded an old save and cazadors were attacking jacobstown and she died. this happen to anyone else?

Stealth Boy mark II prototype Stealth Field Stabilisation

Everyone turns hostile

After Dr. Henry does the experiment on Lily, Keene runs into the room and everyone in there turns hostile, including Dr. Henry, failing both this and For Auld Lang Syne. Is there any known fix? Does anyone else have this problem? 95.253.180.32 19:21, January 20, 2014 (UTC)

This happened to me too. The only solution I figured out is to stand in the doorway to the room and start the dialogue with Keene ASAP. Otherwise everyone turns hostile. I was so confused the first time it happened to me, but this fixed it. Of course, you still need the 80 speech to calm him down, but it keeps everyone from killing you. I had lily as a follower when i told her to return to luckey 38, i told her about experment. When i arrived at jacob town she was not there, when said about wait for experment dr just went to terminal
