Is there really no way to obtain this perk except via console command? I haven't found a way, but maybe there's an in-game means of obtaining it...

Use for the Lump of Brain[]

Want to bet this was the original purpose for the Lump of Brain?24.1.34.230 04:49, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

I received this perk after taking the Lump of Brain from the boat. Fo3 GotY edition + Unofficial Patch. --Empi3 (talk) 18:22, August 10, 2013 (UTC)

It's because you have the unofficial patch. Richie9999 (talk) 18:41, August 10, 2013 (UTC)
There's nothing about it in the unofficial patch's notes. But they are indeed very incomplete. --Empi3 (talk) 13:01, August 11, 2013 (UTC)
It certainly isn't from your game, so it must be the unoffical patch. JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?"UserRichard 13:31, August 11, 2013 (UTC)

Trivia[]

I would like to point out that the name of this perk may have a connection to the very famous medical book "Gray's Anatomy' (which was punned for the title of the TV show "Grey's Anatomy"). Quoted from wiki: Henry Gray's Anatomy of the Human Body, commonly shortened to Gray's Anatomy, is an English-language human anatomy textbook widely regarded as a classic work on the subject.

I hope that sheds some light on the name.

or it may simply be that in British English "Gray matter" is a euphamism for your brain? /rolleyes.
Not everything has to be complex --94.76.168.216 13:18, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

Or it could have been (but not very likely) a reference to Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot and little grey cells. Thetford 19:16, January 31, 2010 (UTC)

I have done some experiments with this and this appears to have been removed because its prevents crippling damage to the head no matter how much damage is done. tested with railway rifle Cedderick Blemmingtongrowesmythe
