Gallo's Storage Closet
Should we have a separate article about this? I mean the contents of the Storage Closet are listed in three different places: here, under Gallo's storage key, and I think County sewer mainline. Plus there seems to be an cryptic but erroneous reference to it in Sewer Waystation. It should probably also be noted (as I did in one place) that the Storage Closet can be lockpicked without the use of Gallo's Key. --Sp3lly 04:45, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Junktown Jerky + Trivia Section
I'm adding a new trivia section to the article because my addition doesn't fall under the category: "External influences". As of the time of writing, it will only contain:
The cannibalistic Gallo is probably a reference to Junktown jerky vendors in Fallout 1. The "jerky" they sold was discovered to be human flesh by the Vault Dweller and Gallo has a Tales of a Junktown Jerky Vendor skill book on his person.
If anyone can see a problem with this (and I don't see how), leave a comment here explaining why it shouldn't be added.
External Influences
There has been speculation that Gallo is an allusion to the Lord of the Rings character Gollum, namely because of his cannibalistic tendencies and desire to live in dark, underground places. Gallo's party hat acts to enhance this notion, as Gollum often refers to the One Ring as his "birthday present". The presence of a single, hidden Stealth Boy supports this idea.
Gallo also means "rooster" in Spanish, a reference to Rooster's Steakhouse, where one of the developers ate while on vacation. In honor of their food he added this character (he had heard someone joke that the cook could even make human flesh taste excellent)
Sadly, while the above are great stories, Gallo was the name of a friend and college classmate of one of Bethesda's level designers.
Mercenary
I noticed a mercenary near Gallo, along with several skeletons carrying weapons. Might he have some enemies?

Possible player housing?
This area may qualify for "non ownable player housing" status. It has a bed, local storage and quick access to multiple storage rooms (one of which is accessible only through a computer console), a bed, decoration and other flavoring, traps that can be rearmed, and pet roaches. The distance from the housing to the outside is brief and it's in a fairly central location on the map.
- You'd have to kill your 'pets' every time you wanted to go to sleep tho :P
I thought the same thing but gave it a shot. For some reason it allowed me to sleep without killing the two roaches.

Strange Meat
the "Several plates of Strange meat" seems to be misleading, i only found two and I know several isnt specific but two should not constitute as several. If there are indeed more than two then i stand corrected. --FLaSHBaCK HaSH 02:37, March 22, 2010 (UTC)
adjedctive needed?
It says Gallo is a party hat wearing ghoul. Do we need that info? Howcome Euology's page dosent say "He is a sharp dressing black slaver"?
- Because there are only two players that wear Party hats and that alone grabs people attention to know that this ghoul isnt just some nut from Underworld. Numerous characters wear sexy pajama like clothing besides eulogy: Dukov, the girls in Dukovs place, etc.
