[edit] Shadow government notice

In nations with less apparent strife, there are several safeguards in place in the event of a disaster strong enough to disrupt the functioning of the government. The United States had Continuity of Operations Plan, Continuity of Government and the presidential line of succession plans.

USA government in the Enclave is called "shadow government" in somewhat pejorative meaning of a government, that takes over in the event of a disaster. Conspiracy-theorists define "shadow government" as a secret organization within the legal government. This secret government is often portrayed as corrupt, illegaly financed, having connections to illegal or secret organizations and keeping sinister secrets.

It is very likely however, that Enclave government it successed from some designated survivor. In such case it can be said, that Enclave has the only known and legal United States of America government (at least president, Cabinet and Senate) in Fallout world.

There are not known other survived US president succesors. NORAD computer stations are offline and according to van Buren Boulder design document there is the large Crater, source of glowing ghouls. According to Fallout 3 hearings D.C. area wasn't totally destroyed - devastated Capitol building is present as early concept, as well as devastated Pentagon building with no US government human staff presence (it is not certain if Chinese neutron bomb was possible in Fallout world).

[edit] Clean up

Ausir, for God's sake, if you paste clean up template, please explain what should be improved. It became kind of dossier of course, but very honest. To many source details?--dotz 10:29, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

Yes, the source images are excessive, as were the canon templates. I pasted it mostly because it looked messy and I intended to clean it up later. The logos are just something I used in the timeline, but here it's best to use references (<ref></ref>) to specific dialogue files etc. Ausir 15:18, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
