The residential area page for dead money says there's a detailed walkthrough on this page about the duck and cover. said walkthrough is absent

Walkthrough?[]
Was there a description on how to get the VillaDean book in Dead Money? I read through a forum topic on this but was still not able to get spears to fall through the bed. Loaded it 10 times and I dropped all the grenades I had and it stays behind the invisible wall under the bed. Why wasn't this fixed in a patch? GRPeng 02:59, October 25, 2011 (UTC)
- It wasn't fixed in a patch because patching add-on content is extremely difficult to do. Additionally, if done,patches and add-ons can conflict with each other and really muck a game. --Kastera (talk) 03:12, October 25, 2011 (UTC)
- Did not answer the main question, where is the walkthrough? Was it intended that this book was hidden and very difficult to get? The UOP for TESIV worked pretty well, same game engine but it was a third party. GRPeng 04:52, October 25, 2011 (UTC)

- The description in the table is inadequate. Where do you drop spears and how many? I finally figured out the tiny area that spears fall through after reading that forum topic and some experimentation. After learning where to drop spears, I spent about two hours during game 5 of the World Series yesterday throwing grenades over and over and was not successful. I packed the area behind the bed with grenades and mines and they went flying instead of exploding. Does throwing grenades closer to the headboard work better than the middle? Do you drop the spears after an initial grenade? Do you need to have Explosives over 50 or 75 for it to work? GRPeng 22:50, October 25, 2011 (UTC)
