Only 8 DAM? Are you kidding me?!

Perhaps this is one of the later models Bethesda were always going on about.....Wyrmalla 20:33, May 18, 2011 (UTC)

Apparently, it's just a tazer. So it would make sense for it to have low DAM. --Captain tweed 22:57, May 18, 2011 (UTC)

Is this affected by Laser Commander? 122.108.188.89 01:21, May 19, 2011 (UTC)

I'm thinking of all kinds of fun uses for this weapon. A nice alternative to sneaking when you don't want to kill someone and you're out of stealth boys. It's like a long-range Paralyzing Palm. Maestro, I say right on. 71.163.222.227 10:12, May 19, 2011 (UTC)

Yes, its affected by Laser Commander, but that just raise the damage by one.

...And the crit. chance by %10 (I used it on my play through Zion when I was low on .45 ammo, a crit from the compliance and then finnish off with a melee weapon, this seems like a nice way to save cash & ammo)32.59.64.212 06:35, May 21, 2011 (UTC)

If you have the Meltdown perk, critical hits seem to cause the target to explode rather than to be paralyzed. Wunengzi 07:54, June 4, 2011 (UTC)

This is just a fantastic gun for energy weapon users and by far my favorite weapon in the game. I picked up early, and while skeptical of first, it ended up being my default weapon at nearly all times. The low damage is almost irrelevant; my Courier could paralyze any melee-oriented opponent long before they got in striking range, and if he couldn't bypass their DT, his companions did and made mincemeat of the helpless foes. The darned thing saved his rear multiple times from deathclaws, nighstalkers... you name it. Wouldn't leave home without it. (71.214.203.118 22:00, September 25, 2011 (UTC))

I've never really used this weapon because most of my builds are based in raw damage instead critical damage, even EW ones. Then I finally create one with high luck, boone's beret, light touch, you know...the usual. :D Man, this weapon is great! I keep her as my primary weapon and the GRA Recharge Pistol as secondary. You freeze those nasty Giant Green Geckos and Yao-Guais so much easy and then change for the GRA pistol and crit hit them as your leisure. It works wonderfull if you give some powerfull melee/unarmed weapons for companions, because they always change weapons when enemies get close, so they will attack them to death. Follows Chalk have Knock-Knock and is destroying freezed enemies, is so good. ;) Brfritos 23:39, October 1, 2011 (UTC)

Story??

So whats the story behind this weapon?

It's a tazer, probably used for crowd control (in Canada, if the Survivalist owned it). Hugs Scar: "Say 'ello to my little friend!" 18:09, May 25, 2011 (UTC)

Or maybe the vaulter used it to keep their food in line.... Grisly shit.
