This, and probably all the rest of Shank's quests, could do with a list of which settlements or conditions aren't candidates for it under any circumstances, as there seem to be several of them: Spectacle and Murkwater being the obvious ones. Those are "owned by the Sole Survivor" once cleared, but not available as targets (unless beacons have been built and settlers moved in?), contrary to what the article currently states. 66.214.99.253 02:31, July 3, 2020 (UTC)
- Yeah, it's either settler count or tied to unlocking the "vassal" options. Empty but already-controlled locations can be used for Clear Out for at least the second target and later, just not for Subdue. (And of course, you'll still get "Hated" reactions from Curie etc even though there were no humans at the site. Maybe she's a member of (Sort-of-)People for the Ethical Treatment of Mirelurks... :P). Neither is a "Taking Point" candidate, so IDK if that's really what's causing the restriction: I'm too sick of the whole settlement grind to really want to experiment with it. 66.214.99.253 00:06, July 4, 2020 (UTC)
