Someone please write up a walkthrough on this one. I am stuck at the stage of accusing someone, so either I missed something (likely) or the quest is glitched (XB1). Spent about one hour trying to progress with no luck. Help! EDIT: Duh--it helps to follow the "bloodstains" to find the murder weapon. It could be mentioned on the page that going out of order appears not to break the quest. Unkgeog66 (talk) 06:27, May 21, 2016 (UTC)

-- Unkgeog66: Make sure you have found the murder weapon and asked the person to whom it belongs about it.. also, make sure you explore all conversation options will all the robobrains that don't involve accusations. SPOILER: Also, fully explore: specifically, you need to get into the overseer's office and find and listen to a holotape

MAJOR SPOILER Listening to that holotape will open up a dialog with the professor about his wife and how she's been "acting differently" and should also let you accuse her by saying "I know your secret"

stubbing out walktrhough[]

I noticed there was no walktrhough at all so I wanted to at least stub something out.. but I feel its' too "stubby" to publish...

Setup[]

Sometime after arriving at Far Harbor, the Sole Survivor will be approached by Pearl, who is quite insistent that there's been a murder at the Cliffside Hotel. Once you've accepted the main quest, she will ask you to meet her at the hotel entrance.

Initial stage[]

You are prompted first to follow her through the hotel where you will encounter multiple feral and fog ghouls until you arrive with her safely at an elevator. Pearl says "after you". Entering the elevator and pressing the Activate button will bring you into the interior of the hotel where the Sole Survivor is asked to use their PiP Boy to unlock vault 118.

Into the Vault[]

Pearl will hand the Sole Survivor over to Maxwell who explains that the financier of the hotel and vault has been murdered. You will be led through a very well appointed vault into a main lobby where there is a "deceased" robo-brain.

The Investigation[]

Maxwell tasks the sole survivor with investigating the murder and the various potential suspects (all RoboBrains which turn out to be non-erased brains of the very wealthy former denizens of the vault.

Firstly, investigate the murder scene to reveal the smashed in brain case of the victim, bloodstains on the floor, and follow the trail to the murder weapon.

Once the murder scene is investigated the sole survivor should interview the various robo-brain inhabitants of the vault, and fully explore.

Unending exit elevator[]

When trying to leave the vault after solving the murder, I got on the elevator and the ride didn't end after 3 minutes. Does this qualify as a bug? GRPeng (talk) 03:57, June 10, 2016 (UTC)

I've played through Far Harbor twice and first time exiting Vault 118 that has happened to me both times and have had to reload and try again. Definitely a bug IMO, but not necessarily with the quest - which is why it's listed on the page for Vault 118.DngnRdr (talk) 22:39, July 4, 2016 (UTC)

Maxwell[]

if you choose to let Ezra go and later lie to Maxwell, after the quest finish Maxwell will forever stuck at the crime scene and will not move. Even if you let Ezra go and later inform Maxwell about it before Ezra escapes, he will fight Ezra but still stuck at one place after the quest.

If you choose not to let Ezra go (Ezra becomes hostile and fights you), after the quest Maxwell will return to the entrance and become "mobile" again (he will move if you get too close). It somehow bugs him out if you choose to let Ezra go. 60.49.34.128 13:57, February 16, 2017 (UTC)
