Counting the tombstones[]

I'll actually go as far as to count all the tombstones in the cemetery, just out of plain boredom. Nothing more. Waran4 22:16, February 24, 2010 (UTC)

  • There's ~743 gravestones in Arlington Cemetery. Waran4 00:21, February 25, 2010 (UTC)

Arlington House[]

Maybe time to split off Arlington House? Mirar 08:40, 29 November 2008 (UTC) m

Directions[]

Can anyone be so kind to expand the description on how to get there, 'cause I can't find it. The flooded metro is huge, and I've searched near Arlington Library (sounds logical to me) but I'm not able to find it there. It would be nice if I found the place, since the Luck bobblehead is unmistakably valuable. Thanks. --Eleh Mhent 20:37, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

Go to the Super-Duper Mart (east of Megaton, northeast of Grayditch). Keep going east until you get to Wilhelm's Wharf. Just south of there is a metro station called "Flooded Metro". In reality it's Arlington Wasteland Metro and a very long route to Arlington Cemetery.

Thank you!! I was having the same problem as Eleh Mhent but now I've found it ^_^ - WeHeartKatamari 23:58, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

Has anyone ever tried going into the fenced off part of Arlington? I have the 360 version,so maybe someone with the PC version could try.~Anonymous User

ARLINGTON CEMETERY FLOWERS[]

There are four graves at Arlington Cemetery having flowers. Each grave has a group of four flowers which are of the Pansy(Viola tricolor)spp. and it was traditional to plant the Pansy on a grave of a fallen loved one to give it some color. It was also known to be a mysterious flower that bloomed around fresh graves and a Pansy thrives on bare soil. It is possible, but not known, if these four graves hold some meaning to the Game programmers that made then put the Pansy`s where they did. If you want to locate these graves, stand at the east door of Arlington house and the graves are located. NE 24 and 31 paces out. E 32 paces out and SE 69 paces out. There are no other flowers in the cemetery .Three are on one hill and the other is to one side quite a way back so the relative locations to the house might have some significance. A Pansy is an easily grown, cool weather flower unsuited to hot climates.--1000HrsFallout3 (talk) 20:52, August 2, 2012 (UTC)

Fresh burials perhaps? Maybe the Brotherhood uses Arlington much the same way it was used pre-war, and is used in real life? The article on Reilly mentions she used it for that as well, so it stands to reason the Brotherhood would as well. Perhaps even the Enclave would, too, seeing as they're direct descendants of the US Government as well. TestECull 02:27, April 20, 2010 (UTC)

Removed "flooded metro"[]

I've removed the reference to Arlington/Wasteland Metro as "Flooded Metro" on the grounds that it's downright confusing. (original message on the Arlington Wasteland Metro's talk page), If anyone disagrees than feel free to say so here and revert my edit. Shit, didn't realize there were two flooded metros, is that just confusing or what? (reverted, my bad) Techercizer (say hi) (pwnage) 00:09, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

Lists of the Dead[]

People keep editing this article to list all the people that are buried in real-world Arlington Cemetary, and it's bullshit; we aren't wikipedia. I'm linking this article to its' wikipedian counterpart so that people have somewhere else to spam their lists of the dead. Techercizer (say hi) (pwnage) 22:41, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

Enemies on the way and in the Cemetery? (X360)[]

After I finish up Operation: Anchorage and do my usual trading, I'm planning on traveling to the Arlington Cemetery to collect the bounty on Junders Plunkett. The thing is, I recently and accidentally purchased Charon for the full 2,000 caps rather than just taking out Gretta. I don't feel like losing him and want to know how difficult the path is to the Arlington Cemetery and what types/how many enemies occupy the actual cemetery. Thanks. OPM 15:25, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

None in the cemetery but Junder plunkett spawns in the arlington house.Chineese remenants spawn in mama dolces. The metro is the usual ghouls if you go through marigold there will be some fire ants if you haven't killed them yet. Gameboy627 15:31, 12 August 2009 (UTC)Gameboy627

Okay, thanks. Charon should be able to handle that. Then again, he's killed himself via Frag Mines every time I've had him before. :/ OPM 18:07, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

Behind the fence[]

I was playing fo3 last night on my 360 and i got an idea to walk on the side of the fence that borders the cemetery. As i was looking at all of the buildings i could not get to(including the church)and i saw the Citadel! Or at least in looked like it. I checked the world map on the pip-boy and i was nowhere near the citadel. Maybe someone with a pc and the G.E.C.K. could look into this.Leea 11:44, 15 August 2009 (UTC)

I noticed the same thing, it has the same defender balcony's which the citadel has. A non-enterable base of some other wasteland force (downton enclave base?) would not be very likely I guess. Heineheine 08:34, January 24, 2010 (UTC)

xbox-360 .You can get Behind the fence[]

I found a way over the fence tonight, took me hours, and walked through the door of the church. No cheats. Will explain how to do it tommorrow.--1000HrsFallout3 (talk) 22:01, August 2, 2012 (UTC)

xbox 360- View of the Citadel from the cemetery[]

Leea, above is correct that the distant view is the Citadel. Unable to exploit console commands there is yet a way over the fence using the City Liner exploit. Walking through the Church enter the BOS Citadel gate further down and find the entrance copied right down to the gateway with the yellow BOS symbol above it and hanging ropes.SET MY MARKER. Knowing where to look from the cemetery stand on the nearest mound and see the yellow BOS sigil in the distance through the sniper scope. The arch is an exact copy. The building however is only a hollow shell.--1000HrsFallout3 (talk) 06:47, August 21, 2012 (UTC)

Some important trivia.[]

Thought id mention this- the Tomb of the Unknown soldier isn't present here. This seems to be worth mentioning in my opinion. Now all you dumb asses out there are going to argue that the monument doesn't have to be around because it's a different time. Well I'm going you that that's shit because the Lincoln Memorial Exists and that was built AFTER the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. So don't give me that "it hadn't happened yet crap" because it should have because the historical aspect of Fallout changed after 1930 (if i recall correctly). The Model-T was still the most-driven car in 1920's and those nuclear power cars in Fallout model the 1950's car i.e. the Plymouth and others so history hadn't changed enough to write off the tomb of the unknown solider which was a World War I deal and I'm pretty sure there was a World War I. That's a good argument so once a couple more people agree someone can put it on the page. If people are going to make a deal that Washington D.C. and its landmarks are not all in the right places then the tomb of the unknown soldier which is just as popular of a landmark needs to be put in.--FLaSHBaCK HaSH 23:30, April 7, 2010 (UTC)

Destroyed by the war? Crumbled away in the 300+ years it's been there? Torn down and scavenged for building materials? You're forgetting that nuclear war and two hundred years of neglect do not choose sides, nor do they care what it is they're destroying. They just destroy it. Random suburbian house or memorial to the thousands killed in WW1, it doesn't matter. TestECull 02:26, April 20, 2010 (UTC)

As if the game makes any pretense at being historically accurate to begin with? Have you paid any attention whatsoever to any of the info in the various museums? Fallout 3 is not set in the future - it's set in an alternate universe future. Deal with it. 75.60.97.223 20:48, November 6, 2010 (UTC)Meg

New map is god awful

"When entering from the Metro station, there is a dead regulator" Which station, south or north? I *think* I found a dead someone or other at the south one but I don't remember who or what he was (or even if he was a he). 24.57.184.32 09:05, November 16, 2011 (UTC)

xbox- Getting over the fence and walking though the copy of the BOS Citadel.[]

After passing the dead regulator on the steps leading to the cemetery exit at the top. There is a atomic V8 Corvega upside down and parked behind is an intact CITY LINER.Use the FAT MAN exploit to get over the restricting field surrounding the cemetery. The LINER can be climbed from the rear which allows access to the top of the vehicle and this height is required to get over the top of the restricting field. Use the Game recploit and release the City Liner.Push the Liner against a spot where you can, get over the fence jumoping from the Liner`s top. This method used a number of times does not seem to cause any issues with game play saving or fast travel. Since you have no means of climbing back into the cemetery the only way back is F.T You can visit the CITADEL as seen from the cemetery and find that the gateway is an exact copy of the BOS Citadel right down to the hanging ropes .I have not explored all the exterior so other things might be hidden as well.Once left the CITY LINER will when the area resets, revert to its original position.--1000HrsFallout3 (talk) 06:12, October 26, 2012 (UTC)

XBOX360 Bomb flames[]

XBOX360. After ascending the slope into the car park where the City liner is parked they are 3 flames in the bomb pit to right. Strangely these same flames can be seen in the sky if looking towards Arlington Cemetery, from: The Citadel, R/O Dukovs Place, and R/O Lincoln Memorial.--1000HrsFallout3 (talk) 21:37, May 17, 2014 (UTC)
