NCR Troopers

Where are the two NCR troopers? You might want to say that....--24.46.250.155 15:54, October 31, 2010 (UTC)

TwoNCRTroopers

The two NCR Troopers you need to give Ranger Morales' corpse to.

Correct Quest Name

Jasper, how did you find the proper name for this quest? Just curious. :) Thecrystalcrow 13:46, December 4, 2010 (UTC)

The real name of this quest, according to the Geck is "proper burial". All named references, including the corpse of ranger morales itself (ProperBurialCorpseref) bear this name . But I shall not change the title of the page on my own.----Croquignol 13:52, November 8, 2011 (UTC)90.19.218.23 13:51, November 8, 2011 (UTC)

Changing the name.

Since the name given is apparently arbitrary with no actual proof that its the real name, I propose the name be changed to "Raising Morales", given the name and low morale caused by the unrecovered body.

Journal Entries?

Since this is an unmarked quest, there are no Journal Entries, so the heading is a bit misleading. Should this heading be changed? Thecrystalcrow 02:41, December 7, 2010 (UTC)

Oh the irony?

So his name is Morale. As in soldier morale? Is it a joke that ranger morale's dead? Because, NCR could be doing better. I sure hope Ob meant that.JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?"UserRichard 17:53, December 12, 2010 (UTC)

Except his last name is Morales. So you fail. [A] 20:31, October 28, 2011 (UTC)

I saw another article an this site describing the same unmarked quest. shouldn't all of the info be in one page? 98.18.253.161 00:56, December 15, 2010 (UTC)awesome

Wrong way round

I came upon this site from the opposite direction to the NCR troopers. When I reached the troopers after the battle, carrying the body, they ignored the body and spoke to me as if I were going in the opposite direction for the first time. I stepped back and re-initiated dialog and everything was fine, though.

Honestly, this is the sort of thing that makes me wonder if this game was playtested at all. You can approach that building from just about any direction. Failing to include a routine for players who meet the NCR troopers for the first time while already having recovered the body is just plain dumb. Wunengzi 08:01, December 31, 2010 (UTC)

Same here, Silent sniped the Fiends(Thank you Christine for the rifle), dragged the body to the barricade, got asked "Whoa whoa whoa where are you going?" And then the Legion Assassins attacked.

So I don't know if the quest requires you to first speak to barricade troops, and then go get the body or if it was because one of the troopers died to Legion assassins. I reloaded and this time approached the barricade first, killed the Legion, and then went to go get the body. This time the quest completed successfully.--Somrik3 (talk) 23:55, May 18, 2015 (UTC)

Stuck Body Workaround

If you can't lift the body, punch his head off and bring the dismembered head of Ranger Morales back to the troops. They won't care.

Need the head?

Well when i came across him being the sadistic lil s.o.b i am i shot his head of... and they still accepted his body all the same should i change that note that says it is required?

I'd just like to point out that it's not sadistic to destroy a corpse. To be sadistic means to enjoy the pain of another.

I'm Fine, Really

I think the health bonus from Thought You Died messes with the soldier's dialogue when you bring Ranger Morales back. I got the body back to the barricade with 577/485 health (I came up the wrong way and one of the fiends managed to scuff my armor slightly), but the soldier said the "approach the barrier with a significant amount of damage" line. Unless 8 damage is a significant amount I think there's a bit of a mess-up here. --Delta Jim (talk) 23:21, January 27, 2013 (UTC)

I just did this quest, sniping everyone off with my varmit rifle, didn't take one hp of damage, and he still gave the significant amount of damage line. 67.142.182.25 22:54, June 18, 2013 (UTC)

This has been fixed by the YUP mod. There are 2 criteria for the near-impossible-to-get "impressed" speech. It is full health AND no limb damage to any limb (incl. torso and head). So the only way to hear it is to use a hydra, basically.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.161.174.119 (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!
