THE MAGNUMS ARE NOT BLACK. FOR GOD'S SAKE.--JoeHanSon 02:33, November 19, 2010 (UTC)

...where does it say they are? Nitty Tok. 02:40, November 19, 2010 (UTC)

lol? It doesn't say it anywhere, obviously, but there's no less than four pictures in the article inexplicably showing a black-colored .44 revolver. How did you not notice that, Nitpicker?

Anyway, I can only assume that whoever uploaded those pics had a custom texture for the gun.

Nope, took them straight from the vanilla version on the GECK. ☣Avatar☣ 18:48, December 27, 2010 (UTC)

I think he "might" be referring to the gun in real life. In which case, no, he's still completely wrong. AkoraZ3RO 22:39, March 31, 2011 (UTC)

Unique version.[]

Is there a unique version of the .44? YuriKaslov-M1911 small Yuri Kaslov 15:35, October 27, 2010 (UTC)

Yes. HeadManiac 00:24, October 31, 2010 (UTC)

Pictures[]

Has anyone noticed that the pictures in the article all contain the speedloader clipping through the gun? At first I thought the gun really looked like this but in-game it doesn't.

I looked at the scoped .44 from FO3 and I sure don't see any black stuff coming out of the back of the cylinder in that gun.

Ouch, you're right. The speedloader is clipping. :o Nitty Tok. 15:28, December 27, 2010 (UTC)
Now that is a issue, cus the pictures are taken straight from the GECK static world objects folder. There they use a higher res texture as opposed to the object item itself in the GECK, it is also the only place in the GECK that I can find which also models the gun with all the mods. So I can do a image without the clipping but will be at a lot lower res for the textures, but I will not be able to do the mod versions, unless someone knows of another application that can render the FNV models other than the GECK. ☣Avatar☣ 18:48, December 27, 2010 (UTC)

Smith & Wesson?[]

Would this weapon be considerd a Smith & Wesson due to the Logo on the Handle?--Ant2242 20:25, June 13, 2011 (UTC)

It looks like an S&W M29 revolver. But we'd still need developer confirmation to put that in the article. Great Mara 20:26, June 13, 2011 (UTC)

if the game heavily insists it is a real life weapon than we have to put it in dont we --Corporal grif 10:42, August 5, 2011 (UTC)

It looks more like a Ruger Redhawk when you put the heavy frame on, or its just me.--97.104.217.200 17:30, October 17, 2011 (UTC)

Nevermind, i did some research and the Redhawk was introduced in 1979, so it can't be. Looks more like a S&W you're right, went on S&W.com and looked around and saw more of a resemblence when you look at it in game. So yea i would ask the devs.--97.102.218.11 00:46, October 19, 2011 (UTC)

This is for sure a Model 29. While I'm ranting, what is the policy with stating what gun in-game guns were baised off of? I practically created the page for New Vegas at the IMFDB, so I know what everything is, and would like to add in a trivia section for remaining guns. Bearded Hoplite 17:58, April 22, 2012 (UTC)

Resemblance to .44 Revolver (Van Buren)[]

Worth a note mentioning that with the Heavy Frame mod it looks like the Van Buren pistol-ie same colour on wood and frame)?

one badass magnum[]

this magnum looks badass with the heavy frame.--Corporal grif 10:03, December 6, 2011 (UTC)

MAGNUM: Bullet type. I also prefer a 454 Casull handgun or even the most powerful .500 Smith & Wesson magnum round and gun if those punks at Bethesda can learn some realistic gunsmithing tips to use in their future games rather than "repair" one with an existing firearm like repairing baseball bats with other bats.-Boba fett 32 (talk) 23:10, September 7, 2013 (UTC)
