Gun Runners?Tezzla Cannon 21:29, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

The Gun Runners started out in the same place as the Followers of the Apocalypse, albiet with more profitable intentions. Why not? Nitty Tok. 21:30, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

Oh right i didn't know that. Tezzla Cannon 21:31, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

By the way they constantly refer to "siding with the New Vegas residents" in the previews, i would say they are also a faction.

Blestb 16:09, August 3, 2010 (UTC)

IE, the crime syndicates and House. Not notable. Nitty Tok. 16:11, August 3, 2010 (UTC)

Enclave? Edit

So no slaughtering the the enclave in NV? Ive only playeed Fallout 3 so I dont know much about what happend out west. Why are they gone?--Radraider 20:59, September 26, 2010 (UTC)

Fallout 2 is why they're gone. Please go play it. Pretty please. With sugar and cherries and sprinkles on top. Nitty Tok. 21:01, September 26, 2010 (UTC)

I would love to play it but ive got a mac.--Radraider 16:38, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

Actually, destroying their main base in F2 didn't destroy all of them. This shouldn't be surprising and despite the ranting of the indignant "true fans" of the originals trying to bad mouth Bethesda (again), this is supported by more than just F3. There are the Remnants in NV as well. They're part of Arcade Gannon's loyalty quest; For Auld Lang Syne. 67.149.196.9 05:39, November 25, 2010 (UTC)

So your argument that Bethesda did NOT just make a bunch of stuff up is to reference another Bethesda game? What? --BWM

Wrong. His argument that Bethesda did not just make a bunch of stuff up is to reference a Black Isle game. Bethesda provided the engine and publishing for the game. The development was run by Black Isle. --99.102.93.229 15:01, May 28, 2011 (UTC)

The Boomers Edit

Any info on this faction? Refer to DevDiary#4. From what I can infer, they're descendants of a certain Vault populace with a penchant for baby boomer culture. Anon 8/10/2010 18:02 AEST

just found a remnant bunker looked like enclave (interior door from base in fo3) cant enter though

its located east of jacobstown

new pages for factions from fallout 1-2 ? Edit

well hello every one just wondering if it would be wise to start new pages for the factions and have a link back to the fallout 1-2 versions under the main title

factions such as : -ncr

                  -followers of the apocolypes
                  -gun runers
                  -crimson caravan
                  -new california rangers
                  -Brotherhood of steel
                  - etc

so in other words have a page for their descriptions/actions in vegas/mojave and a page for their descriptions/actions in the fallout 1-2

Faction armor glitch. Edit

Wearing faction armor makes you a fake member of that faction. If you put on faction armor, then put that armor into a container without first removing it, you will still have the status as a member of that faction in disguise. It seems that reequipping and removing the armor will clear the glitch.96.3.131.71 17:42, October 31, 2010 (UTC)

The same will happens if you change armor directly in your inventory without unequpping the faction armor first. The game will not register that you are no longer wearing the faction associated armor and any faction that is hostile towards that faction will continue to attack you even though you are no longer in disguise. If you are not sure which faction you are still associated with due to this bug, individually equip and then unequip every piece of armor that you have saved up in storage one by one in order to solve the problem.
This is a major bug that can completely ruin the game for you because a lot of storyline quests rely on interactions with the NCR and the Brotherhood of Steel.

faction relations Edit

Can someone compile a list of how factions feel about each other? This is important for donning disguises.

Something like this: NCR is hostile to the Legion, Great Khans, and Brotherhood of Steel NCR is not hostile to the Boomers and White Glove Society Special note: The NCR can ally with the Brotherhood as the story progresses.

Legion is hostile to the NCR Legion is not hostile to the Great Khans, Boomers...

Distinction Between Faction and Group Edit

I think we need to make a distinction between a Faction and a group. I say this because Fallout: New Vegas has a has a pretty absolute definition of a faction, as in a group with which a reputation can be acquired. It is for this reason that I propose a separate section or page for non-faction groups including but not limited to the Bright Brotherhood, the Kings, and all raider gangs. Who has reverted my change Edit

I've done everything correct, can you imagine Followers in the second battle of the hoover dam, or Crimson Caravan not being part of NCR, or Yes-Man being more important than the Courier in the individual quest line, or the Kings and Van Graffs not being part of Freeside and the most horrible no Westside, but Westside Militia! And raider gangs aren't a faction, in the same sense we could include Maud's Muggers or Hunderson bodyguards. The factions are either mentioned in the ending credits, mentioned by Legion, House, Yes-Man or NCR, have a reputation image or be an independent town, nuff said. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.145.210.181 (talkcontribs). You gave me a good laugh, thank you. --233345-cartman1 tinyUser Avatar talk 18:05, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
You gave me quite the laugh as well, and I was the one to revert your change. It was needless and, well, not good. Hugs Scar: "Say 'ello to my little friend!" 18:06, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
May I suggest that you read Faction for what is actually a faction. Secondly, you edit was poor. You changed the link from Robert House, to Mr. House (a redirect page). You removed several valid factions (Crimson Caravan, Van Graffs etc.) Oh and btw, Maud's Muggers is considered a faction. User avatar tagUser Avatar talk 18:12, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
according to the faction page, we should add Atomic Cowboy, Wild Wasteland Aliens, deathclaws, radscorpions, Primm powder gangers, vault 19 pg, joe cobbs pg, ncrcf pg, hostile camp pg, pg camp south pg and so on, i haven't noticed any difference between Quarry Junction Deathclaws and any raider gangs, except that the latter could be killed by one shot and haven't got any quests, and followers don't participate in the grand battle, now i know that gaming wikis are a bunch of annoying schoolboys. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.145.210.181 (talkcontribs). Aliens should be included (with Wild Wasteland tag). As for mindless creatures, no need to get smart, I cant even begin to say how that is just wrong in so many ways. As for the all the Powder Gangers, they are simple sub-factions, just like the Great Khans are a sub-faction of the Khans. User avatar tagUser Avatar talk 19:06, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
Powder gangers in Primm for example are mindless too, they attack everyone they approach including any other powder gangers, doesn't seem to be faction like, and Crimson Caravan for example is a full part of NCR, if you don't consider so should we include traders around the mojave that aren't member of any faction, but aren't somehow different of other merchant companies, and there isn't a mention of deathclaws not being smart, in comparision with Fiens which lost their humanity.82.145.210.181 19:23, August 30, 2011 (UTC)

┌───────────────────┘
That logic can easily be turned, there is nothing indicating that deathclaws are intelligent either, at least not in the sense that they can form a faction, and Fiends haven't "lost their humanity", in what sense did they lose that? Scar: "Say 'ello to my little friend!" 19:35, August 30, 2011 (UTC)

They are not mindless, they are just aggressive towards others outside there faction. And they don't attack each other, if they are, then something is wrong with your game. As for individual traders, not really a faction unless they belong to a larger group. And Crimson Caravan is a faction in its own right, they have strong ties with the NCR, but are not part of the NCR (they are a separate company). It is like saying American Airlines is part of the American government. As for Fiends .... lost there minds... have you seriously not spoken to Motor-Runner (the leader of the fiends). It is obvious you have either very little understanding of Fallout lore, or are simply pursuing argumentum ad absurdum for the simple fun of it. Either way, your edit was bad and your logic flawed and the page stands as it is. User avatar tagUser Avatar talk 19:38, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
i know motor runner, but fiends outside are still mindless, deathclaws don't attack each other either, and i must to note that fiends are the only humans fighting in Torn as if they were creatures, and if you consider that fallout is a science and a worthy thing to learn, you are just a typical schoolboy even not wanting to move to another game if he hasn't saw anything in fnv.82.145.210.184 20:22, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
If you consider people who consider Fallout a "science", as you call it, "typical schoolboys", why are you editing on Fallout Wiki, the gathering place of all collective knowledge of Fallout? to begin with, get some real arguments, not some more ad hominem, secondly, take a grammar class or two if you are to edit here. Temporary Positive Rep? Edit

If you were to put on legion armor, do some stuff to get your legion rep up, and then remove the armor, would your rep be reset to the way it was before you first put the armor on?

I want to get the legion safehouse without getting any permanent good rep with the legion.

-Castor Savage-204.69.119.119 15:50, April 5, 2012 (UTC)

Nevermind, it worked! I now have every safehouse! Woo!
