The surgery chair is a constructible settlement item added in the Fallout 4 add-on Vault-Tec Workshop.
Description
The surgery chair can be built in any settlement, but require a settler to operate. The Sole Survivor can then use it to perform reconstructive surgery on themselves without needing to visit an already existing surgeon, like in Diamond City. All sessions are free of charge.
Notes
The surgery chair can be located in the build menu under "Resources" and then under "Miscellaneous."
Behind the scenes
Early descriptions of the add-on implied that surgery chairs could also be used to change the appearance of other settlers. However, this was omitted from the released version of the add-on for undisclosed reasons.
