Support Drone
From The Vault
| ||||||||||||||||
Support Drones are alien robots encountered on board Mothership Zeta.
[edit] About
Support Drones are basic drones which are not equipped with weapons; instead they rely on melee attacks. It is likely that their primary function is maintenance aboard the alien vessels, unlike their Guardian Drone brethren whose primary function is more likely security. If you obtain the Drone Control Device, Support Drones can be used as temporary followers although only one can be in your team at a time during the Pod Recruiting Action. But, it is recommended that you use a Guardian Drone instead, as Support Drones are fairly weak in relation to the other inhabitants of Mothership Zeta and have no ranged attack -- they simply rush into combat and die rather quickly. Just like the robots in the Capital Wasteland, they can be deactivated once the player aquires the Robotics Expert perk.
You can shoot their hover platforms to temporarily disable their movement.
[edit] Appearances
Support Drones appear in the Mothership Zeta Fallout 3 add-on.
[edit] Bugs
- Pulse Grenades and Pulse Mines do not effect these robots besides the pitiful normal damage.
