Super mutants are characters living in the Midwest in 2197. They were created by the Master 40 years ago, are generally strong but stupid, and because of their bulk cannot wear human armor or use small weapons.


The super mutants, being led by Gammorin, have attacked local settlements and will not let the Brotherhood of Steel have the technology they search for.

  • The super mutants at the plateau in St. Louis are extremely dangerous, since they have an excellent range and deal a massive amount of damage. However, they're worth much more Experience Points, as one of them gives even more than 2000 XP upon killing it.
  • They get a bonus to Hit Points, radiation and Poison Resistance.


These super mutants appear in Fallout Tactics.
