Sully is a man who came to Thicket Excavations while looking for a good place to set up shop. Happy he found a place easy to lock down, as well as a close trading line for "easy pickins," Sully started checking the machinery. Since some of it stopped working, he sought to repair it. Sully bashed the machinery with a sledgehammer in order to loosen up rusted parts and was slightly startled by strange noises coming from it. Noticing that pipes needed to be repaired and being wary of the noises he was hearing, Sully opted to wait until he could get someone else to patch the pipes in the water for him.
After the Sole Survivor completes the Pull the Plug quest and leaves the quarry, upon returning after a while, they will find that it has become occupied by a large band of raiders. Descending to the bottom will lead to a confrontation with a masked, well-armored Sully Mathis, who may be difficult to defeat at lower levels. Descending to the bottom of the quarry reveals he seems to be breeding mirelurks. If the Sole Survivor found Sully's journal holotape, they can discern he was already a raider.
His new model will also sport a facial tattoo, possibly in relation to the Taboo Tattoos magazine in the area.
Interactions with the player characterEdit
Pull the Plug: Sully asks the Sole Survivor to fix the pipes at the bottom of the irradiated lake. Once done, the Sole Survivor has to start the pump and fight off some mirelurks with Sully.

If the steps to drain the quarry are completed and Sully is killed before the change takes effect, he will be replaced with a generic raider of comparable level at the bottom of the quarry.
Sully Mathis appears only in Fallout 4.
Behind the scenesEdit

Sully's name could possibly be a reference to a villain from the 80s Action movie "Commando" where the character meets his demise at the bottom of a rock quarry.
