Stance is a character body position in Fallout Tactics.
There are three stances: standing, crouching and prone. The character gains some advantages and disadvantages depending on the stance. Some perks also affect the character in a certain stance.
It is a standard stance of the character. Standing character is easier to shoot by long-range weapons and more noisy but has a good sight and run ability.
- "Bracing" perk adds two points to Strength when using big guns;
- "Steady Arm" perk (available to super mutants only) reduces the cost of the Burst Shot by one Action Point.
In this stance the character moves slower than walking. Increases the character probability to hit the enemy with the long-range weapons, reducing the character probability to be hit with the same.
In this stance the character crawls at lowest speed. However, the probability to hit is maximum and being hit is minimal. In addition, the proning character is harder to see, but he has a reduced sight too.
- "Tunnel Rat" perk allows crawling at walk speed.
Change of stanceEdit
It costs two AP to change between nearest stances and 4 between "stand" and "prone".
- "Flexible" perk reduces this cost twice.
