The Spring Mt. Ranch State Park is a location in the Mojave Wasteland located between the Tribal village and Red Rock Canyon.
Layout
As you approach, you will find swarms of giant mantises and a few cazadores as they run rampant around the lake. It is also common to find quite a few grazing bighorners in the vicinity. Just in front of the lake is a burned-down house, with some corrals and some minor loot in the dresser.
To the north-east is another destroyed house that contains a cellar-door to the Great Khan armory. A workbench and reloading benches are located in the basement. If you are friendly with the Great Khans you can trade with the armorer.
Notes
- Strangely, if you look southwest from the burned house you will see a group of plants on the side of the mountains. If you manage to get near it and level with them you can see that a small pond exists, but there is no way to get to it without the use of console commands. There is a little path of invisible land in the sky you can walk on that goes around it. Notably, the water in the pond is not irradiated.
- You may find several mantises in the water swimming in circles. You won't be able to use V.A.T.S., but it will provide an entertaining experience.
- There is a tree on the south west side which isn't properly connected with the terrain, and it appears to be floating in mid-air.
- If you continue past the pond you will find a path that leads to the Red Rock Canyon.
Appearances
