Spore plant (Fallout 2)

Spore plants are creatures found in Arroyo and random encounters around Arroyo in 2241. If all spore plants are descended from those found in Vault 22, then these spore plants also came from this vault.

The Professor living in Broken Hills has created an intelligent, talking spore plant named Seymour.

Spore plants are violent in nature and attack without provocation. They are immune to poison and radiation.

Gameplay attributes

Generally found in Arroyo and in random encounters around Arroyo, they are mostly found in small groups. Individual spore plants pose no major threat to the player character, as they are permanently planted to a single spot, and lack sufficient range to tackle any opposition from far enough away. Spore plants have two main modes of attack - either it fires plant spikes at its enemies, or it attempts to bite their foe using their maw.

Variants

Spore plants can pose a threat to unwary characters, but are generally far from lethal - both due to their inability to move and their limited range of attack.
