There are four variants of the soda fountain: the unique prototype built during the quest The Watering Hole and configured through a terminal, and three generic variants that can be built after the quest depending on what parameter was applied to the prototype.
Each variant requires 2 Power and an assigned settler to function.
The parameters that can be applied to the soda fountain are the following:
- "Mood Enhancer": The soda fountain will generate 15 points of happiness for the settlement.
- "Appetite Suppressant": The soda fountain will generate 5 points of happiness and 1 unit of food.
- "Regular Caffeination": The soda fountain will generate 5 points of happiness.
As for the slot machine, all settlers will periodically visit it to get a drink once it is operational including guards and off duty vendors.
The prototype is located in the Special section of the workshop crafting menu during the quest The Watering Hole. Once the quest is finished, the soda fountain is located under Resources → Vault.
All variants require the same materials to build.
