Junk Shishkebab[]

Gameplay articles: Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas
Shishkebab

The Shishkebab is a makeshift "flaming sword" that requires the appropriate schematics to build. The blade is salvaged from a lawnmower. A motorcycle gas tank is worn as a backpack, providing a reservoir of fuel. The handbrake serves as a hand guard.

Wakizashi Shishkebab[]

Shishkebab (Fallout 4)

The model in the Commonwealth and Appalachia is built around what appears to be a wakizashi, a weapon obtainable in Fallout 2. Its blade and hilt are finely crafted. Fuel is stored in a small tank on the blunt edge of the blade, with a series of pipes attaching to emitters along the blade. Below, a second tank appears to power the pilot light. Like the original, a motorcycle handbrake is attached to the hilt, which now triggers the pilot light.

Gehenna[]

Gameplay article: Gun Runners' Arsenal
Gehenna

Gehenna is a melee weapon added with the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Gun Runners' Arsenal. In comparison to the standard Shishkebab, Gehenna has a brighter flame, different valve, handle and the motorcycle gas tank is more rusted.

Behind the scenes[]

  • Adam Adamowicz conceptualized the weapon, noting that the process was very difficult and stumped him for weeks, going through hundreds of iterations before finally coming up with its design in Fallout 3.[Non-game 1] It ended up being one of his favorite designs.[Non-game 2]
