You've got the "right" stuff. Members of the opposite sex are attracted to you, but those of the same sex tend to become quite jealous.— In-game description

Sex Appeal is a Fallout 2 Trait and a cut trait in Fallout.

Effects

This trait increases your chance of having a good reaction with members of the opposite sex. Unfortunately, this trait reduces your chances of having a good reaction with members of your own sex. This trait does not factor in to your interactions with non-human characters, meaning that, for example, you will gain no bonus with a female ghoul if you are a male character.

Although this often factors into sexual encounters your character may have, this trait can apply to many things happening throughout the game.

This trait will also affect the prices you receive from shopkeepers. Since most shopkeepers are male, female characters may benefit greatly from this. Likewise, a male character will receive a slight increase in price from male shopkeepers. Of course, they will reap the benefits of a discount from (the few) female ones.

Notes

  • In the German version of Fallout 2, this trait is replaced by Night Person, even though it has the same image. This is most likely due to a translation error, as Fallout 1 has the Night Person trait on exactly the same text position.
  • This trait doesn't exist in the game but an image of a Vault Boy named " SEXAPPL " can be found in the game files of the Fallout demo and proves that the trait was planned. Otherwise, benefit, prerequisites and description are unknown.
