The United States Secret Service (or just simply Secret Service) is a United States federal law enforcement agency operating under the auspices of the Enclave following the Great War, the organization succeeding the United States government.
Background
The Secret Service was reorganized into a more suitable role for the post-nuclear era, but were still tasked with protecting the function of the government (most notably the President). Most infamously however, their mandate more often than not included their being deployed on delicate, stealthy, behind-the-scenes operations to the mainland, to silence entire outposts/bunkers of Brotherhood of Steel personnel [1], or to even air-drop intelligent deathclaws into/near Vault 13 via Vertibird.
The Secret Service is also on record as being deployed to retrieve and/or assassinate certain wastelanders, ultimately never leaving a single known living witness to spread word of, or impede their missions. [2][3]
Frank Horrigan was considered an elite and seasoned 'special'-rank agent of not only the Secret Service itself, but proved himself to be one of the most deadly and infamous assets of the entire Enclave itself. [4]
After the Destruction of Control Station ENCLAVE, the official fate of the Secret Service as a whole remains unknown, although it is plausible that remaining or surviving agents relocated with the rest of the Enclave away from New California, [5] were killed in the explosion, or managed to escape beforehand.

Appearances
The Secret Service makes its first and only appearance for a major role in Fallout 2, helping serve as the primary antagonist of the game and hosting Special Agent Frank Horrigan, alongside the Enclave itself. Accompanied by numerous mentions in Fallout 2, the Secret Service is also mentioned in the Fallout Bible.
Behind the scenes
The real-life United States Secret Service (USSS) was the obvious and primary inspiration for this sub-faction.
