Scavengers as the name implies, are scavengers in the Commonwealth in 2287.

BackgroundEdit

Scavengers are a minor faction appearing in Fallout 4 roaming the Commonwealth, looking for anything of value to salvage and sell. While they are not always openly hostile, they are much more territorial than their Capital Wasteland counterparts and will often engage in combat if approached too closely. Since they often turn hostile when approached, they generally cannot be spoken or traded with by the Sole Survivor. Occasionally they may appear next to broken robots as random encounters and are planning to scavenge them.

Scavengers appear to mostly travel in groups of about 3-4 and are most commonly armed with pipe guns. They are relatively weak opponents that can easily be taken down with almost any weapon, on par with raiders.

NotesEdit

Scavengers seem to be drawn from the same pre-generated NPC appearance pool as settlers, as a result they tend to have the same faces as settlers, albeit with slightly different equipment and clothing.
