The Scalpel is an item found in Fallout 3 and Fallout Tactics. In Fallout 3, it is useful only as Rock-It Launcher ammunition, while in Fallout Tactics it can be used as a weapon.

The scalpel is a pre-war hand-held medical equipment used for cutting flesh and tissue during surgery. This item is portable, can be placed on any flat surface, and is made of stainless steel. A scalpel has a sharp cutting edge and a handle for handling by one hand. Scalpels are associated with other hand-held medical equipment on compartment trays and are often accompanying them. Scalpels are used in the Vault-Tec Vaults.
