From The Vault
Samurai Armor and the matching Samurai Helmet are pieces of armor which are added to Fallout 3 in the Mothership Zeta add-on, worn by Toshiro Kago.
The armor provides a damage resistance of 30 as well as bonuses of 10 to melee damage and the Melee Weapons skill, the helmet sports a damage resistance of 5. Metal Armor can be used to repair the armor and likewise the helmet can be patched up with Metal Helmets.
[edit] Obtaining
The armor can be obtained by reverse pickpocketing Toshiro Kago, or killing him and taking his armor. You will lose no karma and no one onboard the ship will become hostile for doing so.
- Pickpocketing Toshiro Kago is generally quite hard, even with a Stealth Boy. There is a way to do it though without killing him for his armor. You must have defeated the other ship to do this and Toshiro must be on the bridge.
- 1st) Do the standard reverse pickpocketing steps.
- 2nd) When he has put on the new armor you gave him. Go into the pickpocketing menu but instead of choosing the item you want to pickpocket press select all.
- 3rd) Exit out of the menu and Activate an alien corpse. Place the Samurai Armor on the Alien. (You won't have got the helmet first time round.)
- 4th) Once it has said you have been caught, go to the Wasteland and then come back on board, you can also destroy another generator while doing the Among the Stars quest instead.
- 5th) Repeat step two and three to get the helmet. Wait until it has said you have been caught and then you can loot the Alien corpse that you put the armor on.
- You should now have the armor and Toshiro will not take it off you. (Confirmed on Xbox 360)
- Or, if you have the Gauss Rifle and the Chinese Stealth Armor, you can do it like this:
- Give him better armor and a Shishkebab. Leave and come back.
- Put on the Stealth Armor. Shoot Toshiro with the Gauss Rifle, it will not kill him. When he is knocked down, quickly crouch and pickpocket him. He should not be able to stop you.
- An alternative if you don't have the Gauss Rifle is the Electro-Suppressor. Hit him a couple of times to get the knockdown effect then quickly crouch and pickpocket him.
- Another alternative is, If you have the Paralyzing Palm perk, you can paralyze, then reverse pickpocket him. After that, leave the room, then take the armor.

[edit] Behind the scenes
- The armor's emblem shown in the Pip-Boy, however, is that of the Tokugawa clan from the same era and onward.
- This is also the only clothing (except Elder Lyons' Robe) that covers the player's left hand and Pip-Boy 3000, but only appears this way in the male version.
