“ It's said there's no man deadlier at close range, that that powerfist of his has smashed a hundred skulls. ” — Daniel
Salt-Upon-Wounds' power fist is a unique weapon in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on .
power fist belonging to Salt-Upon-Wounds. It's a power fist that has been painted white along with orange marks. Four identical feathers are attached to the wrist by a leather strip. Attached to the front of the glove is a deposit of salt, somehow being held together by duck tape. Its name is appropriate since the first damages the enemy by 3 HP over ten seconds after every hit, as if salt is being rubbed upon their wounds. It also has the effect of making them dizzy for a few seconds. Surprisingly, this weapon is an improved holdout weapon requiring a Sneak skill of 50 to conceal.

: Note Unarmed damage is doubled in V.A.T.S.
It can be found in the footlocker the player will be in front of, after completing Honest Hearts and receiving either the " May my Hand Forget its Skill" or " O Daughter of Babylon" achievement/trophy.
It may also be found if the player loots Salt-Upon-Wounds before the ending sequence.
Equipping this weapon with a set of T-51b power armor will clip as if it was crafted into the armor.
It is possible to obtain two copies of this weapon by looting and dropping the fist from Salt-Upon-Wounds before the ending sequence. His power fist will still be present in the footlocker, and in the same spot that it was dropped. Note that the dropped item may disappear when returning to it. A way to get around this is to store the power fist on a nearby corpse, but not on Salt-Upon-Wounds, as his body will disappear after the quest ends.
xbox360 Sometimes when you are equipping the power fist, the markings and feathers will not appear.
[verified] xbox360 When equipped, sometimes you character's finger may curl up on the hand without the power fist.
