The Rum & Nuka is an alcoholic consumable item in Fallout: New Vegas.

Characteristics

Rum & Nuka is a variation of Nuka-Cola. This mixed drink, containing some Nuka-Cola, has multiple effects, plus adds a bottle cap to the player's inventory when consumed.

Notes

  • Because Rum & Nuka is an alcoholic beverage, the reduction in Intelligence is negated by having the Whiskey Rose perk.
  • Unlike other forms of alcohol, Rum & Nuka does not carry any risk of alcohol addiction.
  • Rum & Nuka is not affected by the Old World Gourmet perk.
  • Interestingly, you can't find Rum anywhere else in the game, leading to the question of where the Rum in this comes from.

Behind the Scenes

The drink is named after "Rum and Coke", a commonly used name for the the mixed drink Cuba Libre.
