The Roving Trader Outfit is clothing that can be worn to increase your Barter skill by 5. It is complemented by the Roving Trader Hat which also raises your barter skill by 5.

The suit can be repaired with other copies of itself as well as various Wasteland Outfits (see infobox). The hat can only be patched up with other Roving Trader Hats.

• Characters that wear the Roving Trader Outfit include Ben Canning, Wasteland Merchant, Gallo, Smiling Jack,and Crazy Wolfgang.
• Can be found on scavengers (or their corpses) that wander around the Capital Wasteland.
• Can also be found on scavengers in Random Encounters such as in front of the Super Duper Mart, Broadcast Tower KB5, or at Meresti Trainyard.
• Two can be found on dead travelling merchants in the Deathclaw Sanctuary; one of them also has a Roving Trader Hat.
• Dogmeat's old master, a Scavenger, has one. You will find his/her corpse when you come across Dogmeat fighting four raiders in the Scrapyard.

• Can be reversed pick pocketed off Lucky Harith and Crow. (Confirmed for both merchants using a fully repaired Confederate Hat and/or an Enclave Officer Hat.)(X360)
• Found during a Random Encounter where a Wastelander talks about a "Green Mountain" refering to Oasis.
• Found in the Deathclaw Sanctuary on a dead trader
• Can be found on Tobar. (Point Lookout only.)
